“He’s only famous because he has a stupid scar on his head.” -Draco Malfoy. If I remember right though, in the movies, you don't see it that often.
He's known for it, but he was also embarrassed by it, kept it hidden by his hair most of the time. IMO it being hidden by sculpted hair isn't a big deal. Not like that's going to be what people focus on when looking at the figure anyways.

His scar and the surrounding story is a thing of folklore in the wizarding world so Harry often wears a fringe to keep it covered and avoid attention. If I remember right though, in the movies, you don't see it that often.
The scar is a massive bummer for me, I wish they would have been able to find a way to show at least some of it, but I guess it wasn't always visible in the film either, so it just is what it is. I personally hate rooted hair as I think it makes these look less lifelike and more Barbie like...but I guess that's why art is entirely subjective. At least I'm saving a bunch of money just getting the sculpted. The fact you cant see the scar with the sculpted hair, makes rooted the easy choice on this imo, now im just between getting the giant backdrop or not

Nope, and that’s another concern I somewhat have with InArt. Yes they released the Joker and it’s a pretty good set, but they already have quite a backlog of figures that are still to be released. I feel like a lot of the stuff they’re working on will be a year or longer out. So essentially Hot Toys wait times.
Same thing with Pennywise. I’ll be curious to see a character with normal flesh colored paint apps.Thats definitely concerning. Plus with a character like Joker any defects or obscurities in the flesh tone paint can be covered up with the white make up.
I think it's sort of damned if they do, damned if they don't. You already have ppl saying that InArt is taking too long with showing new product and we should have already seen Legolas, Ringwraith and Dune go up for order. So if they slowed down even more, more ppl will get upset. With TDK Joker, folks on this board were already starting to think InArt was going to be another Molecule8 b/c of it's slight delay.Same thing with Pennywise. I also wonder how long we’ll be collecting pre-orders instead of figures. I know all the companies tend to have that issue but there’s already a fair sized backlog from InArt.
Probably not the most viable thing but it’s almost too bad they couldn’t just announce a figure or two at a time and then work on and deliver them in a reasonable amount of time instead of piling up more and more.

I think they try to aim for the 1 PO and 1 Release for each Quarter of any given year. Maybe later on they can increase it to 2 PO and 2 Release/Quarter of any year.I think it's sort of damned if they do, damned if they don't. So, who do you satisfy? If InArt try to rush and we get an inferior end product b/c they were trying to push product out, then those same ppl will say, at a minimum "Why didn't InArt just take their time instead of giving us this crap rush job?" We've already had QC issues with TDK Joker.
I don't think they can afford to only reveal 1 to 2 products and hold until those are fully produced before moving on to 2 more. Like you said, just not the most viable thing for them to do. If and when InArt get enough POs under their belt, is when we won't feel like we're just collecting POs b/c we'll then be receiving at least one product while the next one in line is being produced and the cycle will continue. It's b/c HT has so much product out that it doesn't feel that way with them, even though they're doing essentially the same thing.
You're never gonna get that from any company though. There are two separate teams handling this stuff and it's not how a companies pipeline operates.Same thing with Pennywise. I’ll be curious to see a character with normal flesh colored paint apps.

Another thing is that the assortment of figures they’ve put up for pre-order so far is pretty random. The only two that are part of a set are Gandalf and Aragorn, and really they’re from the same film but aren’t necessarily characters I’d associate together. It would be nice to know if they plan to complete lines or if we’ll continue getting random releases.
That’s why I acknowledged in the original post that you quoted that it’s probably not viable. You're never gonna get that from any company though. There are two separate teams handling this stuff and it's not how a companies pipeline operates.
They don't announce Harry (or any character) and then pause all artists on their team to focus on their production side of things. Once their team finishes Harry's prototype (probably weeks or months ago), those artists move onto the next project while the factory side of things continues working separately. Most might even be working on multiple figures at once. It has zero effect on their production side of things or the factory workers.
It's the same for Hot Toys. Their backlog is massive but what is the alternative? Do they just close shop and put their artist out of a job until the factory catches up on releases? Or do they just continue working on the next figure one by one? They go with the later and so does pretty much every company. It's just the nature of how things work.
