At the start of that video, apparently IA is hiring 100s of artist that just do rooted hair?? Is that perhaps one of the reasons why this Batman took abit of a dip in quality from proto to production with the hair? which seems to be the main issue ppl are having.

QC is done to avoid too much variations. Also the fact that they will always try to show their best versions for the promo pictures indicates that it’s not the case. The variations might be in future batches. But minor one’s probably

Either a strange coincidence or InArt are indeed present here as I suddenly got much more interactive responses from them (I.e. not generic ones).
What are they saying?

I was expecting blogger pics of batman to start showing up today but I'll also accept some InArt assurances.

They better explain themselves because we’re all confused what’s happening. Are they revising 1st batch again? Or making changes to the cowl still? So many questions.. 🥲
I kinda feel like that’s just how they do things. What they’ve revealed is Final, and part of their marketing strategy to generate hype and excitement is to give us a taste in small doses (it works on me lol). They probably figured that they’d save the best for last (the cowled sculpt), but underestimated how aggressive and demanding the collecting community can be at times, demanding everything at once or prone to writing the entire release off due to a few not ideal angled pictures. Gandalf’s “final release” post was solely a pic of him holding the added fireworks. Pennywise had a mini photo album (about 7 pics by INART themselves). And now we got this “final release” for Batman. They don’t have a consistent way of doing things and I think this throws off most collectors that have been used to Hot Toys style. They also have more of an artistic aesthetic marketing strategy that I find funny when people take issue with it. “Why do they line up all the accessories like that?” I think it’s pretty clear that they’re signaling to us that they’re ready to be shipped out.. lol. It also looks pretty.

With INART’s prior two releases, they then started to release more footage in the following weeks, like the Unboxing Video, Maintenance Video, and shared actual bloggers by external photographers. Just a matter of time. It also makes sense that this release feels different as there’s lots of eyes on this whereas with Gandalf and Pennywise, there wasn’t no where near as much.

But to our collective point in regards to clear “downgrades” like the longer and wavier rooted hair and “altered” portrait, perhaps this is a first time scenario where they will take these critical comments into account and revise a Final Release for mass production? Or perhaps they’re banking on people not knowing what they’re looking at or want and INART will stand by their work?

Nothing really. But they did address me personally and advised they would ask the relevant team.

So, still generic but less generic I guess!

I really don't like teaser reveals. Just do it all in one go. You want to announce a product for sale? I don't need 3, 4, or 5 emails or videos edging people when clearly, you have a completed prototype for solicitation or something (yes, that's towards JND). Inart doing the same for what seems a completed production piece. You have everything lined up for the retail product and ready for shipment? Show everything and get to it. Not yet? Then don't.

So where were you when they released Gandalf and Pennywise?

Their Batman is final/ready. They just have a different marketing strategy for both announcements and releases. Which is also in line with how Queen Studios (their parent company) do it where I’ve noticed that hardly any people take issue with it. Perhaps the 1/6 community is more entitled and whiny?

For the record, I’m not arguing that they have the best way, just offering an observation as to how they do it. And I’m also not saying you’re wrong. Just discussing.

So you and others would prefer if they offer a full album like Hot Toys? Bloggers by INART themselves or by third party photographers ala Hot Toys?

Teasers are meant to be released every day or atleast once in 2 days. It’s been 18 days since they said they are ready to ship. You said easter holidays bla bla bla.

No cowl photo, no shipping update, no unboxing video and all we got was some random photos from pathetic angles.

HT’s way is better. I know product is released and will be ready to ship immediately

Cool, now we know how you’d run your own company.

And yes, why do you think they haven’t begun shipping? Got some hard evidence? INART said they’d begin shipping end of March. For all we know, they may as well have indeed start shipping out the week of the 25th. Only reason why we have yet to see something perhaps, is because Big Breda doesn’t have an affiliation with INART anymore. Otherwise, we probably would’ve seen something by now based on the prior 3 INART releases where he’d upload his review within the week or so.

Again, the Gandalf Release Photo was literally just a single photo of him holding fireworks. Lol.

Hot Toys has their own way of doing things. It doesn’t mean it’s the “best.” I honestly feel like we’re so conditioned by them, we’ve become numb. How is it that I understand what’s going on here with how INART does things and people like yourself, don’t?

It’s funny because I’m also a big car guy and Toyota 4Runner is one of my favorite vehicles. 5 days ago, Toyota dropped a teaser image of the new 6th gen 4Runner which only showcased the rear sliding signature window, that’s it, with a April 9th date, indicating to us that that’s when they will fully unveil and release the first look at the new 6th gen 4Runner. Everyone understood the assignment (even though the images have already leaked today lol before the official drop time). I get this example is related to an announcement but even then, you’d have 1/6 consumers throwing a fit at INART for teasing/revealing only the Superman boots and even going as far as thinking those were the official announcement photos (yes, not joking). I saw people complain that INART didn’t give the people the full look. “How am I expected to PO this when all I see are the boots?” I can go and on, but it seems to me that some people are just so unreasonable with this company lol, and to an entitled degree.

I have no evidence just like you have no evidence that they have shipped on 25th. I am going by their Gandalf and Pennywise release and immediately after the production process, they started shipping out within 7 days. No one said Hot Toys is best. But the way they release things it’s surely better than Inart.

Teaser’s for Preorders are fine and even Hot toys does it.

There are some actual issues with either the quality or production of this figure and that’s why they are taking this much time. Anyways i guess it’s another 7 hours. John will probably tell the exact reason hopefully

Why do you feel that they immediately shipped out with their Pennywise and Gandalf? Felt tangible, didn’t it? Just because Big Breda had a video, right? Again, I’m not saying they’re the optimal company in how they do it, but for Gandalf, it was literally just one photo 🤣 as the “Final Release.” Generally speaking, no one was upset or acting like INART is going under because no one gave a crap about Gandalf. That’s the difference and no one felt that it was just a “teaser.”

“Actual issues” lol, that’s just your opinion, man. One delay, back in November. One. And it was most likely to optimize certain things which did in fact has made the figure more accurate (so far). And this should be celebrated. But in all fairness, INART should learn from this and be better prepared to deal with rabid, entitled, demanding collectors (IMO, people should learn to exercise patience a bit). Hopefully some light can be shed today.

Edit: yes, the rooted hair is an issue. Too long and wavy in comparison to before. That’s why I asked before if perhaps this will be the first time they revise a Final Release?

Not about Big Breda. Kit posted the photo of the box exactly after 5 days. It is not like only Big Breda can review. Anyone can review it.

From the beginning you are not understanding the point. No one blamed them for November delay. No one expected them to release in March. It was John from Inart who said after CNY, which is Feb mid or Feb last week. One month passed and Inart themselves put up a post saying it is ready to ship. They shouldn't have posted that it is ready to ship. It is their mistake. If they are ready or not ready, they should give us an official update immediately after posting like that. It is silly to defend them when the mistake is on their side.

Nothing to celebrate them. They barely release 2-3 figures per year and whatever improvements they have done for the 6 months seem to be a downgrade only and that's why there was an uproar. They can learn from their mistakes and proceed with Aragorn and Superman.

The Batman was flooded with too many suggestions and that's the problem. I would have preferred the initial prototype itself without any feedbacks. I loved the after version but in the end it is neither the before version nor the after version. That's why most collectors are disappointed

John is just a marketing dude. He’s not on the actual R&D team that really determines the work or delays.

All optimizations they’ve made are improvements regarding the suit design accuracy. I had edited my comment, but yes, I agree that the rooted hair is off and is a major potential issue. Definitely shouldn’t be longer and wavier in comparison to before.

As far as your added edits, I think that’s what makes INART real cool. That they’re willing to optimize for more accuracy. Rooted hair aside based on that last picture of it, everything else has been upgraded for the most part.

They are all from the same company. It is their job to coordinate. And why did they post it officially on March 22 when it is still not confirmed.

Everyone wants accurate details which is fine. But nothing can be perfect. If they keep on improving things, they have to keep doing it forever. And when they get to the level of doing 8-10 figures per year, i don't think they will even bother to do adjustments.

Another 5 hours. Hopefully some good news after I wake up. Fingers crossed. I hope this thread will be flooded with messages :devilish:

That’s your opinion. As far as I can see, that’s part of their shtick, the pride on striving for accuracy. Of course there isn’t such thing that’s “perfect.”

And at the end of the day, the R&D team might be tracking at one point, but then things happen. Happens all the time in various industries. Me personally, when they said “after CNY” I always expected it to be either month of February or March, which it basically was (oooh first day of April for the official release oooo). I really personally haven’t been losing my ish as much as you or others on FB.
