1 fall is all it takes for an ear to snap off. It already happened with Jedha.

Crotch grabber for me.
I'm over these magnetic bases.
Agreed I think I’m going to see if someone can just put a crotch grabber in the inart base as it’s a nice base. Just terrified it might take a tumble as well!

Thanks for that man.

I was using the same photo the Unreal photo used as reference:

An aside: man Pro cinematographers really are Pros. So effin hard to imitate the same lighting set up and the most I can come up with is an approximation/bargain bin version 🤣

Anyway, I think InArt did a really damned fine job. There are times in the film when the jawline is more pronounced and I think it’s due to a few factors such as angle, lens, the way the cowl fit Robert’s head during that segment etc etc.

Overall I’m pretty impressed with the final product. But like with everything 1/6 scale…it’s never perfect. Just comes down to the individual and what criteria’s have been met for their collection purposes.
There's your source reference @Chopper Face

To each his own, but looking at every one of those film stills you shared Brooklyn, it just hammers in the faults of the sculpt even more to me. Of course I considered all the factors to try and convince myself I could be satisfied, but no amount of mental gymnastics will suffice 😅

The simplist way I can describe it is.. the lower half portion of his face needs to taper. When he's leaning in closer to the lens, it exacerbates it even more, making his head look bulbous even.

The picture of him clenching his teeth isn't a good reference for this comparison.

I’m probably the only one who never cared for the magnetic bases. I think they’re aesthetically nice except for the Gandalf one, but I think I’ve only used the Joker one for about 15 minutes and boxed up the Gandalf one after a few seconds of holding it. What a chintzy block.

I wish INART would provide a standard crotch grabber with each release. Something that is uniform, premium yet simple.
Nah, I've been saying it from the beginning ever since it was shown with TDK Joker. It's a nice concept, but execution still needs a lot of work.

Check stoneys stands. He can provide an acrylic pole attachment. I just don't want to be going that route for every figure. It's rather expensive.

I picked up the standard Hot Toys base, but I'm actually liking the look of the barebones stand that (I think) @Raleig.h was using. Might end up using that instead.

Even executed better, it's still very limiting. And I don't know personally that I can leave a beautiful figure standing without additional support.

Acrylic poles really don't bother me.

Hey I’m definitely saying you’re not wrong as you do make valid points. And if these flaws really stick out like a sore thumb, you’re right, no amount of squinting, blurry vision and mental gymnastics can magically make the sculpts work for you.

Do you have a photo of the attachment he uses can’t seem to find it on his insta

Inart's sculpt is too square. The way they extended the cowl from the back and treated the separation. The wider jaw, etc.. pretty much what I've been saying from the beginning. When better comparisons are made, more people will see the difference.

I'll be posting updates on this other thread for anybody interested, since folks get annoyed when mods / customs are discussed here (except when it pertains to capes I guess).

100% disagree. Unreal's sculpt is almost pixel accurate to reality

InArt's certainly looks better to me, even more so when compared to these other photos. The shape, length and jaw of that custom is off to me, but I guess it's all personal preference lol

I have to respectfully disagree. I exclusively use acrylic stands for both my 1/4 and 1/6 figs, with parts from Stoney stoney stands, particularly the crotch cradle he produces. They are incredibly stable, and less damaging than the wire cradles from HT. Plus, being acrylic, I can sand and/or dremmel them into different shapes as needed for specific figures. Like the cradle below, that I sanded down to slide in between the thigh/crotch opening on the new C3-PO.

Would it survive a tornado? No, of course not. But if you're like me and just want to keep figs from falling over when bumping into shelves etc. they have not failed me. This is not the cheap brittle acrylic that Hot Toys uses, they're solid as hell.

I would argue that doesn’t have that much more security to be fair.

That’s good to know. 👍🏻

Ideally, if I was crafty, this is how I'd tweak Inart's figure.

I'd add more sheen to the shoulders, lighten the contrast in the bicep armor, add more contrast to the gauntlets, darken the gloves and add more gloss. Darken the boots slightly.
Use a darker collar, and a darker more accurate drape cape.

I'd try to add, or simulate creasing to the suit, and add some bulk to the waist and abdomen also.

Finally I'd replace the sculpt with Unreal's.

Unfortunately I'm better at talking than doing. So I'll be content with a fraction of that.

Not sure how anyone could argue the HT is better than InArt,
Because, if you get a really talented artist/customiser (inevitably from China) to either repaint, alter, replace, or enhance every aspect of the HT; after much time and expense, it might just be possible that you could achieve something more movie accurate than InArt.
