I don’t know what type of ancient phone you’ve got but perhaps it’s the absence of lens distortion and all the automatic refinements more modern phones make but you’ve captured what looks like a very naturalistic and ‘honest’ take of what I imagine this will loom like in hand… with a little less clarity than my own eyes will provide.
Thank you very much mate!
I appreciate the kind words!

Yeah not just that but the OT collar alone is BS price wise. Your better off getting a custom versions from OSK or Jaxon or anyone else where it's priced reasonable. I don't think changing the collar on InArt Bats is necessary as it is on the HT figure.

I admit I'm disappointed they didn't change how far his nose hangs out of the cowl. It really doesn't look like that in the film.

Well, so far:

  • One of the plastic housings for the magnets was loose inside the base. I had to unscrew the rails, correctly place the magnet, and screw it back together to fix it. Easily fixed, at least.
  • The magnet on the back of the default faceplate came unglued the first time I tried to take it off. Again, a minor issue.
  • I received two duplicate faceplates (the bared teeth one), and am thus missing the partially open mouth plate. So... yeah, now I'm pretty annoyed. Hopefully Kit will solve this one for me.

....And the eye stalks inside the cowl are so short that I can't actually maneuver them. Are they all like this or did I somehow get a weird one?

Your picture is a good frame of reference to compare with Unreal's. Well, not exactly, because the dramatic lighting obscures the sculpt, and it's only 1 angle. But the comparison quickly came to mind.

Hey scout can you do another comparison with the 2nd pic I posted? I wasn’t satisfied with how the first one came out. 😁

Inart's sculpt is too square. The way they extended the cowl from the back and treated the separation. The wider jaw, etc.. pretty much what I've been saying from the beginning. When better comparisons are made, more people will see the difference.

I'll be posting updates on this other thread for anybody interested, since folks get annoyed when mods / customs are discussed here (except when it pertains to capes I guess).

Had this a few days and only found some time today to set it up. Probably needed a full day tbh. Definitely one of the most stunning pieces I own but very infuriating to assemble. The base is tricky to keep the figure up. Unless it’s just mine. Like I said I need more time with this. This pose will have to do for now. Probably won’t touch it until OSK’s cape arrives next week. Apologies on the poor photo.

Thanks for that man.

I was using the same photo the Unreal photo used as reference:

An aside: man Pro cinematographers really are Pros. So effin hard to imitate the same lighting set up and the most I can come up with is an approximation/bargain bin version 🤣

Anyway, I think InArt did a really damned fine job. There are times in the film when the jawline is more pronounced and I think it’s due to a few factors such as angle, lens, the way the cowl fit Robert’s head during that segment etc etc.

Overall I’m pretty impressed with the final product. But like with everything 1/6 scale…it’s never perfect. Just comes down to the individual and what criteria’s have been met for their collection purposes.

1 fall is all it takes for an ear to snap off. It already happened with Jedha.

Crotch grabber for me.
I'm over these magnetic bases.
I’m probably the only one who never cared for the magnetic bases. I think they’re aesthetically nice except for the Gandalf one, but I think I’ve only used the Joker one for about 15 minutes and boxed up the Gandalf one after a few seconds of holding it. What a chintzy block.

I wish INART would provide a standard crotch grabber with each release. Something that is uniform, premium yet simple.
