They don’t have the worldwide licence for LOTR so this was never going to be shown at SDCC.

I almost think this might be more photogenic than their Gandalf in some ways, the paint isn't too shiny and looks pretty much perfect. I hope this figure is their standard for all the upcoming releases.

I know folks aren't a fan of the way he futzed the Gandalf hair, but credit to him being the only reviewer to style Aragorn's hair close to the prototype. To my eye, looks much better that way.

Probably not having to assemble the figures outfit yourself. Which I also hate.

Head seems a bit of a downgrade. his facial features seem too wide? Slightly disappointed.

If the proto was a 10 out of 10...the head makes this a 8.5 out of 10....still initially reaction is disappointed.

Still looks amazing to me, same sculpt just slightly softened. Happens with pretty much every collectible from prototype to mass production. Lighting plays a big role too, seen plenty of photos here already that are almost on part with the prototype .
