The problem with Inart and these extremely limited windows of opportunity to preorder is anyone who isn't tuned into the forums and hobby every single day, like you DiFabio, could quite easily and legitimately ''miss out''.

Sure Gandalf has come up again for preorder but A) once again a very brief window and B) are these extra chances always guaranteed?

On the subject of Gandalf I'm now biting my nails over him too. If I was to get Aragorn, Gandalf seems essential to me, he really does. And then I've already started on the ''gotta get catch 'em all'' slippery slope.
Gandalf isn’t essential.

I’m passing on him because I don’t think he looks that great. Aragorn isn’t going to suddenly make me spring on him. If the initial shots of Gandalf wowed me, I’d have got him before even seeing Aragorn. He just didn’t/doesn’t.

Aragorn is on a completely different level. He can definitely stand on the shelf by himself.

Now, if Legolas turns out as well as Aragorn, will the completist in me want Gandalf? NO, because he doesn’t look as good. I’d probably be more interested in having a Gimli that’s on the level of Aragorn and do something like this,

Sooo, my patience is at an end, do they start shipping Aragorn already?

:ROFLMAO:

Well what to do all year now... my oh my

I'm so close to ordering Gandalf also.

Not been this excited for 1/6 in a long time. I thought I was out to be honest.

But it's even more better as, like another poster, I used to collect the Toybiz LotR figures and adored them, I remember getting Eomer and sitting down at my Mum's work with a pencil and paper drawing him because the armour detailing was so incredible.

As a kid I always regarded LotR and Star Wars as franchises to be in their own league of what is my favourite film, because as an entity they're just unbeatable. I've not actually seen LotR since I was in year 7 ages ago, then at Uni watching the Hobbit sort of sullied my memory and fondness for the films.
I've just ordered some very expensive Steelbooks from HDZeta and waiting to rewatch them in 4K as the extended editions, but seeing this figure made all the memories and feelings come back. Even more important is how incredible it looks, there probably won't be better versions of these characters for a very, very long time.

Never thought I'd collect anything LotR again.

Thanks Inart, you scoundrels.
Gandalf and Aragorn will look great together but you also can't go wrong with just having one of them.

Plus I imagine Legolas will look amazing and whatever other character they decide to do. Most likely Frodo or Gimli if I had to guess.

I was really surprised at KGHobby's price for premium edition: $448 ($435 if paid in full) with free worldwide shipping.

$298 standard, all in.

Think that's the cheapest I've seen by quite some margin.
I’m in the process of seeing if I can swap a standard for the premium without incurring a penalty. No response yet. Can’t beat the price.

Well... seeing those two together side by side, how can I say no?

So far I have the Gandalf and molded hair Aragorn on pre-order. I can't imagine not ordering the Legolas as well, given how these are turning out so far.

Man that full body picture of Aragorn is simply phenomenal.
Gandalf is very nice but the likeliness is not there, he looks a bit like grumpy sad wizard and not stoic smirky Gandalf imo...

I agree that Aragorn is more accurate... but I'm a glutton for punishment and had to get them both.

That InArt video of Gandalf with his hair blowing slightly in the breeze sold me way back... I was just waiting to see if Aragorn would be good, thinking he'd be the hardest to capture.

After considerable back and forth, finally pulled the trigger on standard ver.
Have no use nor will ever display the shattered Anduril.

I have a child and mortgage, so my wife need not know of this.
I actually entered a contract agreement with my wife with how many figures I can order per year 😂. It's actually nice now I dont have to worry if it will be an issue when I want something as long as I control myself. Also don't have to worry about making her angry which is the biggest concern! A lot less stressful now.

It took me one day to mull over this, but jumped the gun today. Whether Kit will be able to secure me one, will leave that to Lady Luck, however, I cannot have THAT Aragorn with the Asmus GtG. No friggin way.

Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli are the best trio from the franchise.
I’ll be honest, after several viewings of the extended versions, I now tend to fast forward thru 90% of the stuff with the Hobbits (especially all the whining/crying Frodo and Sam) just to get back to the more interesting and badass stuff with these three.

Aragorn, Gandalf and Sauron are the correct LotR Trinity. King, Wizard/Angel, Elf/Overlord/Wizard/Demon. Arthur, Merlyn, Mordred. Baldur, Odin, Loki. It works on so many levels. Aragorn on one side, Gandalf on the other, and Sauron in the middle, behind them, towering over them, raising the One Ring. Now that's a display!

Don't @ me, my taste is superior.

Also, I'm waiting for the ROTK versions because I only collect the ultimate form of each character. Well, "only" is too harsh, maybe "mostly" is more apt. God, I hope they don't show those off in 2025. FF and all the (Dreamworks Clown) Kang dollies will kill me...

After seeing this Aragorn, I really am curious to see how they'll pull off DUNC Paul's hair. Chalamet's is curlier and the style isn't a simple "long n' greasy" like with Heartthrob Viggo here.

I feel it'll be a major test as a figure in general, considering how complex the Stillsuit is. In any case
