Will probably get my second Aragorn in later this week more then likely after Thanksgiving, and I'll check it to see if there isn't any issues. I got my current one's hair looking decent, want to make sure this new one has no problems before selling the other off.

I cannot get over how good he is. I'm at the point where I'm actually thinking about getting the premium to see if I end up liking it after having it in person lol.

Managed to get the regular from Kit as well and I am super happy with it.

I originally pre-ordered the rooted one from the store that shalt not be named, so I am expecting to be screwed over.

In the unlikely event they come through and honor the sale (I did manage to get an InArt Joker from them), I’ll see which version I like more and sell the extra.

I can't believe Kit still has Premiums in stock. If I'd known they'd be this easy to grab, I probably would've just passed over the Standard -- though it'll be cool to have a side-by-side comparison and pick the one I earnestly like better in-hand.

Possibly a lot of non payers and cancelations due to the holidays coming up.

Some folks hate rooted hair. He's a pricey fig. InArt is a relatively new company, it's not like spending 200$ on a 3rd party. Word got around of the uneven QC. InArt doesn't sell through Sideshow; didn't check Popcultcha. Folks already spent $$$ on Joker and then Catwoman release. People waiting to see what HT will release. Or WETA.

Everyone is broke with upcoming holidays as well. Or they decided to hold out for these 1/3 releases $$$$.

Tho yeah, I'm surprised, actually. For all my issues, this is still the best Aragorn sculpt out there. Seems to be a good body, heavy. He looks pretty nice on the shelf. Weapons are beautiful. But if people don't have the funds, they don't have the funds.

Plus with new collectors - being in the U.S. I only buy internationally from sellers with good reputations. Kit, Popcultcha, Spec Fiction. On Ebay there's some cool stuff from Asian sellers but my max purchase would only be 200$ if that. It's not like Sideshow where you could drive over if there was a problem.

Fair points, all. I guess I'm just influenced by my experience trying to get a last batch Gandalf, where Kit listed a few each day, and they were sold out within 15 minutes. Granted, I know that figure got more praise universally, and there was no Standard alternative, which are two big factors.

Gorgeous :clap . That's what I expected from a *premium* figure when I open my fancy box:monkey3. I wish InArt had skipped the box(es) and done this instead; just used recyclable brown paper and cardboard (and I know people feel differently; but I just store boxes. Like InArt's many, many boxes). E.g. focus on the figure, not packaging. Like a Ranger cloak for all. :monkey3

Yeah, the Standard tho from a business standpoint was a good move; I nearly went that direction, especially since most of my figs have sculpted hair anyway. The funny part is - depending - having to use so much product to tame my Aragorn's hair, it's like it might be sculpted anyway. And looking at their Legolas, the head portion proto looks pretty glued down. I get it, so everything doesn't loosen up, but it's a lot of stiff hair.
the lord of the rings deal with it GIF
