The question is whether or not to get sculpted or rooted for the hobbits, if both options are presented.

Not sure. On one hand, rooted fits better with the long haired ones, but I personally do not like rooted hair. And then there's the likely cheaper price for the sculpted ones to think of...

I don’t rate inart sculpted hair, for now. I have both versions of Aragorn and I won’t hesitate to pay the extra for rooted with anything longer than say Donald Trump length hair.

I ordered both versions of Dune Paul but with no intention of using the sculpted hair head.

I really hope not. I'd rather they came the shire cloaks than the crappy Elven cloaks (although hopefully they come with both). For me, everything post Lothlórien is bordering on TTT and I want a FELLOWSHIP display which includes Gandalf the Grey.
I am totally with you on the Shire cloaks. That would be my preference also. Like you say, better still if they come with the Elven cloaks as well. My fear is they will pull an Aragorn ranger cloak move, and have them as exclusives.
I sincerely hope they don't though. I love what InArt has given us so far, but it would be even better if they keep all their worldwide customers happy and make any exclusives available to all, if indeed they are even intending to still bring exclusive bits and pieces out with future releases.

Umm, I mean the whole reason they release sculpted and rooted versions is, that tastes are different. If you like sculpted more, there is a sculpted version for you,

This is how I want my Frodo; Shire cloak and herringbone frock coat!

Do we know whether the image here is of the actual figure prototypes or are they just promo shots from the movies? Hard to tell with the potato quality image.

Nice touch that they come with a little campfire and walking sticks from the first half of FOTR. I'm 100% certain they will come with their coats too.

These are the images they used, promotional material for Fellowship of the Ring.

Isn’t this how they appear at the very end of Fellowship..?

Both are still wearing their ‘coats’ at the end of Fellowship, as they do in most major scenes of that movie.

They leave Amon Hen with them, then ditch them in TTT after crossing Emyn Muil, before being captured by Faramir.

Since all three movies were filmed together and costume test images were all available before the first movie released, I wouldn’t take an image used to promote FOTR as being indicative of a look primarily associated with that movie alone.

Although every character adds layers or removes items of clothing depending on the climate of the region they’re traversing, the image of Frodo and Sam both without their jackets/coats, dirtied, and wearing the Elven cloaks is far more associable with The Two Towers and Return of The King than FOTR.
In fact, I don’t believe there’s a single scene of them jacketless with the Elven cloak in FOTR- although I’m always happy to be reminded of any moment in LOTR.

TLDR: No, I’m right. :giggle:
