Yeah I know. If that u is a the case it doesn’t feel like a big leap from Asmus to this in the way their Pennywise is from HT.
It surely looks like a large step down from the prototype.

But I don’t know, my confidence in these guys is going downhill. But not because of the figures, which by the way are not blowing me away. It’s more like it’s amateur hour with their communication.

Again, if that’s the production sample, that’s what you’re gonna get. No improving nothing.
Even if it's a "production sample", they can improve it, i twill be released in Q2-Q3 2023, they have plenty of time.
This Gandalf is still a sample, I highly doubt that mass production has already started.

And anyway, if the buyers don't like it and we mobilize to let them know, they won't have the choice.

We can only hope.

Other than Joker I was really looking forward to seeing this figure... but so far, only a few poorly shot videos and almost no photos has me disappointed and concerned.

I expected to wake up this morning to a flurry of photos to undo the bad taste from last night... but no one is even talking about this figure.

What happened? The proto looked as lifelike as I've ever seen. The figure in the case looks like a well-put-together Asmus figure.

Here are two close up images of Gandalf, I'm surprised no one posted them yet. Beard needs to be longer but I can see the sculpt looks good. As long as they work on it and the final product is better we should be ok.

I have a feeling Justin is going to review this figure next and he's going to make it look worse with his lighting set up. Smh
Probably. We can just turn to all the panic his Joker review is causing in that thread as a taste of what's to come when that goes up.

His videos are making InArt's figures look bad. The Batman thread is going nuts saying it's not as good as they thought but literally the lighting in those videos is pure white. Lol I hope once they come out in hand and people who can take actual videos and photos can bring out the details it will probably have.

I agree. They aren't doing InArt any favors. I personally think MrCollectventures reviews (or however his youtube name goes :lol) show off the figures better in terms of what we're getting in-hand than most other early reviewers.

Yes I have it. I and many others think it is a great figure. You hated it from the time people started posting pictures IIRC.
Correct, davejames is the only person I've seen make it look good. I got it in hand, still hated it and immediately sold it.

I will continue to hate it for the rest of my days.

I feel like the Asmus Crown has a better beard than whatever that thing was InArt's Gandalf had.
But those higher quality photos help convince me the face is still miles and miles better. As someone who has never had a Gandalf, I'm still pleased with this if it's what we're going to get, but I'm still pretty disappointed by the drop from proto.
