I was convinced they would open another round of preorders for Harry once they started announcing Ron and Hermione. So incredibly short-sighted. Like who is going to buy a Hermione, a Dumbledore, or a Draco from the first film if they missed out on Harry? I guess maybe Snape would be fine as a stand-alone figure? But I’m sure there are lots of collectors like me who regret passing on Harry and are essentially out on the whole line now because of it. Zero chance I’m paying $800+ for Harry in the aftermarket.
You snooze, you lose.

I know most will disagree with me, but I’m personally not a fan of reissues so soon after the initial run (which is largely PO based). Besides, let’s just put this bed cause INART themselves said they’re not in the business of doing that. Like Earth 616 said, perhaps in the future, but certainly not now.

Idk what hot toys was thinking with the bad batch numbers lol

Harry Potter and Gandalf are big flagship figures for stand alone and sets , seems silly to sell much less then the ones to follow
It was especially weird for Harry because most of the overseas retailers eventually had a second PO window later on for Aragorn and Batman after InArt allocated them extra stock.

It was asked pretty early on if Kit would reopen POs for Harry like other InArt figures and he unfortunately was very clear that Harry’s PO was closed for good. Maybe InArt realized that keeping POs open for too long prolonged their production time. When you’ve got ppl regularly and rightfully complaining about delays, it would make sense that they just decided to stop reopening POs for figures.

That said, I think it was either rumored or confirmed that InArt would be making the older versions down the line, so you won’t be out of the line completely unless you were dead set on getting the younger versions.

I never really liked the kinda drugged-up expression Gandalf had here, so I never went for this one. And I know InArt has said that they would never reissue figures. But looking at the aftermarket prices for this Gandalf, I am curious, do you guys think that there ever will be another GtG from them?

While you probably won’t get a GtG version, I would imagine that a GtW version could be possible should InArt want to opt in to continue LOTR figures with TT and ROTK.

Definitely getting a GtW version. I have and love the Asmus one but I feel his body is extremely flimsy. GtW is my preferred Gandalf look.

I can't imagine InArt is at a stage where they can afford, logistically, to do reissues. I've got to imagine that it's the case that as soon as one figure is done, that factory has already started production on the next.
Pretty safe to assume that’s what’s happening. It’s also various factories they have, not just one, that are working on various different releases, simultaneously.

I could see them, one day, doing a bridge of khazad dum edition with grimey paint apps, a unique base, and maybe a separate USB staff.

It doesn't explicitly break the "no reissue" rule.

They mentioned once where they wouldn’t do loose alternate versions like that. Someone suggested a Harry figure with an additional clothing accessory and John with INART, was like nope cause it would “upset” those who bought the original offering. They also said their goal is to make their current versions as “definitive” as possible to avoid reissuing down the road.

Wasn’t there talk before of Inart working on a Joker 2.0? I was surprised at that as I do remember them saying they wouldn’t like others mentioned. I personally am happy with the current version, but we’ll see if they decide to go through with that.

It was a rumor that was shared by someone on this forum. Me personally, I’m not putting too much stock into it unless it happens, if it even does. But we’ll see!

I don’t think I was being a “dick” here tbh.. You’d know if I was lol. But overall, I’m okay with just telling it how it is.
Be better. There was no reason for the "snooze you lose" comment and you know it.

Might work in reverse too that HT makes InArt more competetive as well. And who knows, if InArt start doing 2.0s then floodgates are open for eventual Gandalf reissues/2.0s as well.
