So far, I’ve enjoyed all 5 of my INART figures and my Hot Toys figures just don’t compare. I always see others remark the same thing, it’s not just me.

Arguably since I've only got one InArt - yes, some very nice accessories; at least with Aragorn. But HT at their best sculpt-wise is certainly equal or better, as well as some costumes. E.g. the latest Obi-Wan uses better cloth than InArt. Suspect when pleather is used the quality is about the same. IMO HT is certainly better with sculpted hair.

I'd be more willing to cut InArt some slack as they are a relatively new company, except for puffing themselves up and then there's uneven QC and not great customer service. If you are going to market yourself as premium, it has to be 100% premium. Not "here's some nice diecast, too bad if your pricey rooted hair looks awful or your figure won't stand up". + cheap pegs.

I should have been falling over myself to order Legolas, because it's Legolas, not relieved I'm not paying for that - basically some nicer boots, really. And some more "upscale" accessories. I sure don't believe for a nanosecond that there aren't going to be problems with Legolas' hair. There doesn't have to be, but I'll bet there will be.

Only 4 more days to PO with Kit... and I still have not decided if I'm continuing on with InArt LOTR.

I love my InArt Gandalf and InArt Aragorn... but the higher price and fewer accessories with Legolas has put me off. I'm not sure whether to be the completist, or 'vote' with my wallet. I was hoping by now InArt might make a comment about what they intend to improve upon or if they will make that velvet cloak accurate (thus usable) or any news whatsoever that might sway me... but so far I haven't been made aware of anything.

Theyll wait to announce any sort of adjustment the day after the PO window is done, because why would any company want to incentivize their fan base.

At this point, I think I'm only getting Boromir, if InArt decides to make him, and only if there's a sculpted version. And I'll get a Snape, but only if there's a sculpted version.

I know I'm in the minority and that's ok, but I think there's been so much inconsistency in the way the rooted Aragorns came out, and honestly I think there's a ton of figures that don't look very good in pictures because people aren't getting the hair right. I just don't see Aragorn in these figures, I see Viggo with rock band hair. And I don't think the blame belongs to the collectors there - for what InArt charges, the hair should have been a hell of a lot more consistent on these figures. I'm not going to go out of my way to dump on people when I don't think they got the hair right in their photos, but it certainly is a major contributor in this figure having downgraded from the prototype.

Factor that in fewer accessories and what appears to be increasing quality control issues, I'm just not sinking this kind of money into their figures.

Because they have no need to sway anyone. Kit said Legolas is selling better than Gandalf and is on track to even beat Aragorn. Regardless of higher price or less accessories, these figures will sell regardless.

Yeah 100% im not saying that I need to see that extra bit because I PO'd right away, for people like Wor-gar who are on the fence still it gets more difficult to make that decision as time closes in and I think Inart knows when Kit's PO's are going down because think about how many units that man slings out. All im getting at is going the extra mile for customers and give like a sneak peak as to direction with some figures. ergo mirkwood bow, fixing the head seam on nazgul.

Yeah, I'm sure InArt is doing just fine and I'm happy for them. I still believe what they're doing is great. Great figures, and great for the hobby.

For me, each figure is a case by case. I'll likely PO Legolas... but it's the first time I've been halted by InArt's pricing. I think its more than I like Gandalf and Aragorn very much, but have less affinity for Legolas as a character and as a figure. So the higher price makes it even tougher.

I think the only InArt figures I would plunk down big money for again, even sight unseen, would be InArt Darth Vader (ANH) and InArt Indiana Jones.

Despite my hesitations due to the price, I pre-ordered him from Kit a while ago, due to the fact that I had to weigh for myself if I'd still be happy with him in my display even if InArt doesn't complete the Fellowship due to whatever unforseen reasons. I ended up deciding that I wanted him still, because he is a figure that pops, in my opinion. That said, the pricing is a big factor for me, and I'm really not sure if anyone else in the Fellowship can really warrant a similar price - no one else has that long or plenty hair, barring Gimli.

I want InArt Legolas, Aragorn and Gimli. I love those three together. I like the differences, the colors, the sizes... the Three Hunters are a fun display. Similarly, I want InArt Frodo to go with Gandalf. Again, good classic hero/mentor display.

I would be more than fine with those five all done by InArt. In fact, I doubt I would pick up any other Fellowship members.

InArt Nazgul I've decided to pass on. I don't see InArt making any other villain other than Saruman and maybe (hopefully) Lurtz. I would buy Saruman and Lurtz as a villain pair.

Couldn’t disagree more with your assessment on various points. Respectfully, I think you should just call it with INART, they’re clearly not your cup of tea.

See, my problem is that I definitely want the Three Hunters... That makes Gandalf the odd man out, so let's give him a Frodo like you suggest... But man, I can't have Frodo without Sam...

Ah hell, might as well finish the whole Fellowship at that point. 🤣

Which is absurd. It only justifies the price hikes and likely means they’ll continue.

But man, I can't have Frodo without Sam...

Yeah, I think a lot of people feel the same way. They are certainly inseparable once on the journey.

I like Sam, and find him to be much more of a hero than Frodo really, but I'd be willing to separate him.

If InArt only offers a two-pack with Sam and Frodo, then I'd happily take him. But I just don't see that happening.

Then again, I have a hard time seeing InArt actually do Frodo. It would be so small, so fragile, the clothing so small, that it seems too big a task, and the price that they'd have to ask will make people laugh. Imagine the stitching size that needs to be addressed... the correct scale of body... trying to hair a small head, half the size of standard 1/6th heads... and given how unimpressive he would at first look due to size means the $500 price tag would seem outrageous.

Believe me, I hope they make him, but I'm not counting on it...

I do hope they make Gimli... and that my Gandalf will just be an uncomfortable "fourth wheel" to the Three Hunters.
