Agreed, I actually quite like the scene, even thought it is a little nonsensical but that was pretty much what the show was after a few seasons. The use of the main theme to send off the show's main character was really well done... And then they ruined it by showing him still alive. :lol

The Ones Who Live was just incredibly bland and felt more like softcore **** at times for the "Richonne" shippers. It really didn't add anything at all to the overall story of Rick in the show imo, it was just Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira finally getting their schedules aligned to give these characters an ending, which I appreciate, but I would've preferred if Rick died on the bridge and Michonne got the Andrea death from the comics, instead of Rosita, who nobody gave a crap about.

Uhhh... don't say that... I cared about Rosita
She was one of the few likable characters still around at the end and with her leaving her little one behind... it was sad. They just didn't give her character enough to do in the later seasons... but I guess that was the case for most of the other characters as well...

But that reminds me... you know what I missed the most in the last couple of seasons? I mean apart from a good story and compelling character arcs, of course... Their use of music!

Those scenes are still so haunting... but they just ditched that completely at some point...

You can thank AMC for that, it is well known that instead of funding the show with a bigger budget as it grew in popularity, they actually reduced it so the suits could keep their pockets more full than they already were.

That is actually one of the big reasons the show took such a nose dive in quality, the other is the writers completely lost themselves in convoluted plots that would end with big explosions or action pieces, failing to understand we were watching for the characters and their relationships.

In the beginning of the Walking Dead the zombies were huge in numbers, could run fast and had a keen sense of smell. The first season was epic. First episode when Rick comes across the little girl with the teddy bear and has to shoot her point blank. That’s when it was real. It’s been a while but wasn’t it the third season when the whole gang was walking through the forest and hid behind trees and the walkers start coming? They stopped running fast and had no sense of smell anymore. It just got bad. In the beginning it was an awesome zombie show. The later episodes turned into a bad human drama with even worse zombies. I never cared for Rick’s kid. Hated him. When he got attacked I cheered! Later after he lived through it with one eye intact it was just unreal. He should have been dead. Don’t know why the huge decline, writers, directors or what but it lost its luster for me after the third season. It was just bad and not worth watching anymore. I watched the first season of Fear and ended it there. I don’t own any figures from the show and won’t. It was great in the very beginning and lost it’s way in less than three years. Can’t believe it lasted as long as it did. I did see a couple of later episodes with Negan. At that point the dead became an afterthought to the poorly written human drama which was the main thing at that point. Not really much of a zombie show anymore.
