Annie Hall great picture.
But Star Wars is iconic. Spawned 5 sequels over How many years?

jimmyjamesf said:Not sure the plot line but from what I have heard Shia is going to be playing Indy's son so its not like he is playing the young Jones or anything. I can see why he was cast as he does look somewhat like ford and could pass as his son.
I do think that Ford is getting long in the tooth for Indy but why not if Rocky can still fight, and John Mclain looks like an unkillable super hero. Indy can still swing from a whip, still shoot a couple people and punch a guy in the face every now and then.
I'm 50, and Ford is absolutely not too old for the Indy character that I know.kodiak8658 said:I'm 47 and Ford is definitely too old for the Indy character we know. But we may be surprised if the Indy character reflects his age of 65, and his son does all the stunts. Somehow, I don't think that's going to happen here.

Of course Ford's going to be playing an older version of the character. Indy's going to have a grown son, after all. I could easily see him pulling off a (mid-to-late) 50-something Indy in a very believable way.

There is a definite similarity too -- especially in the hazel-green eyes and somewhat in the nose.
You know, it could actually make for an interesting aspect of the story to have Indy wishing he could still run around the way he did 20 years ago. Maybe even have him try and fail, reluctantly coming to terms with his age, and sort of passing the torch to his son.jlcmsu said:I'm totally stoked for this. I love the Indy Movies. Ford can pull it off assuming they portray him at an older age. If they try to have him running around like he did in 1988 or something then that could be a problem.
