Doesn't each generation redefine what old people's fashion becomes by merely continuing to wear what they always wore when they were younger? Thus it's not really a problem that Indy would still be wearing an outfit similar to what he was wearing in his late thirties through his fifties and so forth.

I thought Xipotec was being metaphorical if that's the right term to use here. The outfit is Indiana Jones, younger man of action while Harrison now sadly cannot live up to that anymore so 'should not be wearing that costume'.

I don't know. That's a good question. I will think about this and get back to you. At almost 40, I don't wear the same stuff I wore in my 20's.

🤔

Ford's real life style hasn't change much, but he was never trendy. You could say his "style" is timeless. His body hasn't change much either, so that helps.

Perhaps Indy should be dressings more like his father used to dress at this point. Keep the hat, skip the rest and just wear a suit or something. It might be more age appropriate.
He does, , that's when he's professor.
For adventure it makes sense he changes and gears up, with what's familiar and what's worked for him.

If you now switches from- what he's wearing is wrong - to - he should not be adventuring at all-, perhaps he is trying to let that side go, yet something pulls him back into it.

I don't know. People change, some people change their appearance.

I must have looked ... 5 different ways from age 18-30. Different again 30-43. Less drastic of a change now but still different. Then again I know people who have never really changed their appearance, or simply leaned into what they began with even harder over time, whereas it's safe to say I'm almost unrecognizable relative to how I started.

I wasn't going to say anything, but I remembered that. 🤭

Tall, do you have spiky hair like Arnold in T2? I always wanted hair like that, by mine is curly/ wavy. 😞
In terms of how I cut and style it it's kinda like Arnold's T2 style but his hair is somewhat wavy and over a certain length bends back over itself whereas my hair is annoyingly, stubbornly straight. I look more like T2 Edward Furlong if I grow my hair so pretty much all I feel I can do with my particular hairtype is what I've been doing with it for the last 20 years, spike it up.

I wish we could switch hairs.

What about long hair? Crow style. 😁

If I tried Crow length hair it wouldn't look like that - isn't there at least some degree of curl and waviness in his? Mine would just hang completely straight down and would be altogether more girly. How curly is your hair? Would you look like you had a perm or something?

Just googled 'perm' to make sure it was what I thought it was. Among the images for male perms was this

That's what almost every schoolkid in Ireland has now. If anyone had a haircut like that in my day they'd have been mercilessly ridiculed. It's funny how things go.

Justin Timberlake curly. I cut it short on the sides and back and leave the top longer. I use a hair blower every day because otherwise, the hair is unmanageable. With the hair blower I wear my hair like a pompadour. I look like a Sopranos cast member. 😆

Another pointless list.
