Got mine today. Kinda pissed that the hat doesn't come off. But if you have the extra Indy head, should be ok. But since the shot of him on the cliff with the launcher is without the hat, should have had the option, especially for $100.00
Thanks for posting pics Jml, but is his jacket really that tan? I always thought it was green. Hmm...I am not really digging what I see so far and I like this figure.
I almost didn't get this guy thinking he's just a retread, but I'm glad I did. It is a bit disappointing that the hat doesn't come off, but it does look great and looks like it could come off. The sculpt seems to be exactly the same as the original Indy (albeit, with a sculpted hat). The outfit looks great and very natural on him - what some might call a Hot Toys fit.
And I think this is the first time that I've gotten a Pro with no issues. It's not loose at all, each joint holds a pose with ease. And it does emphasize how versatile the Pro is - he can stand with his hip out on one side as you would do when you have a weight on your shoulder like the grenade launcher.
Overall I'm pretty pleased with this - but I'll probably buy all the Indys they do whether I feel they're redundant or not.
That grenade launcher is way too small and puny. Not at all in scale. And the lack of a hatless sculpt is a let down. I'll use the one that came with Adventure Indy but I'll have to bludgeon him up.
Yeah, really. And Sideshow (rightly) prides themselves on super-detailed and accurate weapons & accessories. But they went the Hasbro route this time. That helped make this figure (at $100) one of the easiest passes ever.
