Oh.... wow.... :(

Oh come on, people!!! Is this really your very first Sideshow toy??!? How many times have we all been in the same situation when we see initial pictures that look very disappointing and then once we get the figures in our hands we see that they are much better? And regardless, these pics look pretty much like the proto pics--barely any difference! Are you all that suicidally disappointed that the jacket is khaki beige instead of khaki green?!?

SHEEESH!

I don't see how you can praise this figure in good conscience with that laughably puny rocket launcher that looks like a cattle prod and the puny Pro body that makes his head look ridiculously bobble-headed. I kept my order out of loyalty to the Indy line but first thing is to transplant him to either a narrow Truetype body or a Soldier Story body, pop on the Adventure Indy hatless head and replace the puny cattle prod with the Hasbro rocket launcher and replace the plastic ammo pouches with leather newline ones and replace the plastic boots with some leather DiD boots.

Sounds like a good plan to me.

like a lot of us said from the beginning... you could have a top shelf custom of this for half the price...with real leather boots and ammo pouches, real embroidered insignia etc... I considered looking for the rocket launcher loose.. but now that I see that.. no thanks... I think I paid 4.00 for my tunic, 3 bucks for the pants, real leather boots were 9.99, real embroidered insignia was about 5.00, belt was 3.00, real leather ammo pouches were around 7.00 ( 32.00 total).. then just use the hatless Indy head from the Raiders set on a good body...... done

Nice tooks! Hoser! Take off Eh?

Its Toque..you bloody Yank.. someone needs to be jerseyed!!

I must have struck a cord , now your resorting to insults. Fire away man in the end you'll be the one making yourself look bad! Have a nice night! :)

Thanks for the gallery of shots, Dave.

Had to cancel this guy and...looking at these shots, well....I don't think it's as bad as many in here do, but I'm not feeling the pain of letting this one go, just looking at these shots.

The outfit does look pretty good and well-tailored...but as everyone's sayin'....that hat should've been removable. Wish they had gone for the cloth style ala the Imperials in the SW collection.

I'm hanging on for the KOTCS Indy though....

Nah you didn't at all..and in all seriousness, my insult was not to be taken serious..much like my opinion on this figure..it pretty obvious even that the majority are not liking this figure for obvious reasons i mentioned. If you bought it and are happy with it then so be it..just don't get your panties in knot over my comments and single me out.:D

Okay...it's been been firmly established that this figure didn't turn out to be the second coming for Indy collectors but....let's tone down the rudeness please...thanks.

Yeah come on-play nice boys. This is toy collecting, not life and death. Personally, I'm still excited to get this. I don't have the time or talent for customizing, so this is as close as I'll get. I think the pics look fine. The head just looks big because of the camera angle. I agree the rocket launcher is not very good. I think the lack of enthusiasm about this figure fro the beginning probably made Sideshow think it wasn't worth tinkering with. A shame because they're usually so good with weapons.

Ok, I need to know if this figure can be saved. Can someone point me in the right direction on which shirt Indy should have? The brown is throwing me off and I am in need of you military guys to help me out in deciding if he is salvageable or not.

The grenade launcher isn't undersized, proportionally it fits in every way. They should have included the strap on it though. The pic isn't exactly the same orientation, but you get the idea. They even included the weathering on the exhaust.

And the color of the tunic is arguable. It does appear more green on screen, at least on Indy. But Dietrich's tunic looks just like the one on the figure.

Do we have a Hoth Han jacket debate on our hands Dave? :D Thanks for the pic, the rpg was never an issue to me. And maybe the olive drab green that's in my head is the incorrect color but even in the pics SSC provided on the production blog the jacket looks more green than dark tan. I won't hotlink but check em' out...

There is no debate here. Facts are facts.

Dave, that's not the same exact angle. The rocket launcher in the film was longer, period.

Also, the tunic is not arguable, either. Indy is wearing a basic German M40 field jacket, which were olive green. Dragon and others have been making them for years and they're all the same exact color as the one he wears in the film. This is probably yet another case of the factory not sourcing (or not being able the source) the right material.

Had to switch to the hatless sculpt though. And angles don't photograph the true depth of field proportionately. And the jacket is too olive drab and not tropical Afrika corps DAK green.
