Willie in the cage would be damn cool, gotta agree there.... No way we'd ever see SS do a shirtless Indy though.... Unless, do I dare say it?... Why not.... Hot Toys gets involved and it's some sort of collaboration.

For me, it's more what a character brings to the role. When I see Willie I see an annoying, whiny, screaming _____ who is one of the major reasons I never can thoroughly enjoy ToD. When I see Marion, it's the exact opposite. I see a stark chemistry that made Raiders work despite the cheesy romance aspect. And the figures would personify that for me.

Yeah, she's one of the reasons wh ToD is my least favorite Indy film. Just annoys the crap out of me. So I wouldn't buy a figure cause the character isn't one I would want to spend money on.

Now does anyone outside of Neil think that no Willie makes the mine-cart a fail? I'd be fine with just Indy and Shorty in there.

I think a mine cart environment with no ToD figures is an even bigger fail. :monkey1

:lecture:lecture:lecture When/If we see Indy and Shorty, I will gratefully put them both in the minecart and call the ToD run a day. While Marion was essential to RotLA, Willie was just an annoyance to ToD. Not something I'd spend money on either.

Yeah, I'll probably grab SR and for sure Indy from ToD. That will be it for me as well. Oh yeah MR as well almost forgot him. :lol

If they do go through the trouble of making a muscle body I imagine TOD Indy, Mola Ram and a Thuggee are likely. Short Round might give that Hobbit body a reason to exist.
I doubt they would dig up this line's coffin just to pound the Willie nail in.

I wouldn't shed a tear if they didn't make Willie. I'd prefer Spalko and Elsa over her. Like Nam said, it's her annoying character that really makes me not want her.

But the cage might change my mind. :monkey3

The fun part is that the cage would be much too fragile to make out of polystone, so they'd have to make it out of plastic. And it would really only be about $40 or so.

No, if they did the cage, it would be in polystone. Because the only way Sideshow would do it, would be as a diorama. :monkey1

I think the diorama line is dead. One dio that Sideshow can't move and no hint of any new ones since its release.

Is that true, Choop? I haven't been following the sales of the dios. No one's biting? It's just the TOD one isn't it? That was damn good, I thought.

From what I can tell, this is last Q&A info. on the Indy dio line. Sideshow says that the line will continue, but this news was posted in the 12/4/09 Q&A, almost a year ago.

Q: The Indy vs Mola Ram has to be one, if not the best dioramas to date. Words cannot describe how amazing this piece is. Please, please, please tell me there will be more dios that will span all the films in the series, featuring a lot of the great characters that we may or may not see in the other formats. Marion, Sallah, Short Round, Willie, Henry Sr. just to name a few…

A: Yes, we do have high hopes for this line, and several fun concepts in development. It may be a little while before the next diorama is revealed, but we hope to find a nice pace of two or three a year for the Indy Dio line.

Seriously, you really can't expect customers to remain interested in something when you go that long...and counting...with any news whatsoever.

 Psh. Since when has lack of momentum every killed a Sideshow line? :monkey1

Really, ____ dios.... Just give me figures. And massive EXs have been just as much to blame for this lines demise as the 2nd grade quality paint job on the ROTLA Indy.... great way to start a line SS.

If Sideshow would have just stuck with 1:6 and PF with the Indy license and forget the dios and prop replicas, I think they would be able to pump out some nice product and keep a lot of collectors happy. They obviously overextended themselves with dios and replicas, which don't seem to be going anywhere, for a license that clearly doesn't have a large enough fan base to support so many lines.
