I may be deluding myself, but I'm very excited about Short Round. Although I will say that if they make Willie but not Marion, I will be upset.

The latest update from them says they're gonna make a subset of each movie and move on from there. So, I expect next year is TOD Indy, Short Round, Willie, Mola Ram and the Mine Cart, then a year off, then maybe they'll come back around to ROTLA. Short version is, I think Marion's at least 2 years away. . .

IF. . . . IF the Temple of Doom set is successful.

I could see them skipping Willie from the 12" line... if anything, I think she'd be in a polystone dio of the cart mine or something.

I think Indy ToD, Short Round and Mola Ram is what Sideshow will produce for 12 inch figures.

I really can't see them skipping Willie. Perhaps a Sideshow Exclusive, maybe just 300 units exclusive to the site. The Mine Cart diorama is a bit indicative of that Mine Cart scene and that has all three main characters. A Mine Cart with just Indy and Short Round, it's like a sandwich with bacon and lettuce. . . it might be okay, but it really needs the tomato.

Oh no, I think she'll be made if they do the mine cart but I think it will be a dio like the Indy vs Mola Ram dio, not as a 12 inch figure.

I don't see them making a mine cart for 12 inch figs... has anything like that been hinted??

Ah, so I guess Willie will come. Gotta say... I was hoping if she was done she'd come with her "sacrifice" cage as her exclusive.

I have a feeling they may leave Willie for the end. They're still developing the female pro which would push back her production further. And they would probably determine her release based on the sales of the other 3, in which case I kinda think she won't get done. :(

Marion > Dr. Schneider > Spalko > canceled 1:6 line > Willie

Spalko> Willie> Dr. Schneider> Marion

Sorry-- I don't find Marion a very interesting (visual) character in whatever outfit they select. Spalko has a distinct look that I think would look great in an Indy display. I DO want a Willie in sacrificial get-up to pose with the eventual mine cart/ripped shirt Indy/ Short Round...
Dr. Schneider and Marion?... If they never get released then that'll be OK with me.

Willie offered nothing to TOD except a "____ing the help" benefit for Spielberg. :lol

:goodpost: That is funny.

There's more to a figure than just the "visually interesting" aspect. Otherwise, we'd all only need one Indy. I don't see how she's any less "visually interesting" than a Moisture Farmer Luke or Old Ben Kenobi. :huh

You don't buy these to look at them??? I do find the two mentioned SW 1/6 interesting-- I just don't see Marion (either dressed from her Tibetan bar or in her red pants from the market) as being an interesting character to have on display...

You can take this mod gun from my cold dead hands... :nana:
