I just wanted to see if any would like a base to pose Luke looking out at the Tatooine sunset.

I initially thought I couldn't do this in an affordable manner but I played around with it a bit and come up with this using the materials readily available to me.

Includes a post and crotch grabber just like my other stands.

Looks good, my only suggestion would be to use hobby sand, glued down and sealed, would look a little more natural imo, if I pick up a luke ill definitely hit you up for a stand

Thanks, L! I was trying to mimic the look of that dirt hill on the Skywalker farm as best I could in a simple way. Maybe I can tone down the pits and crevices a bit.

another bobka? hmmm. id say make the part his back foot is on more flat with your meat slicer. kinda looks like hes on a skateboard with both feet angled upwards. and maybe make the edges more jagged and not so yummy. right now i want to eat the tan bobka :) you are a lover boy! you are a loverboy!

It looks really good.
Try adding some baking soda in with the surface compound your using. It will give it a gritty, dirt look. Experiment with the amount of baking soda. Use a stiff brush and dab to apply. You can also add a few small chucks of styrofoam or dried plaster for bigger pebbles and stones fragments.

Thanks guys! I've already got two more going that I put a sandy texture on like my other Tatooine sand bases have.

Also decided that this was too scene specific so I'm developing some that have interchangeable tops so that you can put Luke in different poses and outfits.

I think you're right... Less is more. It looks very professional and as if it came with the figure.

Thank you, Weezer! The other proto I posted pics of kinda looked a little like a piece of slabbed off cake next to this one so I think it's a step up.
