These are great pics intothevoid! I'm an idiot when it comes to taking pics, what's the secret to getting pictures where the background is fuzzy but the subject is clear (like the pic of the newspaper and scarecrow). I love that effect but have no idea how to get it.

My bro actually took these pics. They were taken with a DSLR with a 50mm lense. I believe the key to achieving that effect is having a very low f-stop setting. That way the center point of the shot is in high focus and everything around it gets blurred. Probably means nothing to someone without a DSLR, but that's how my bro explained it to me!

It's called a "shallow depth of field". The main reason I want a DSLR.

OK since noone else chimed in - it's me showing my mom the difference in the details in the joker clothing between the DX version and the Kato.E version.

Her reaction was something along the lines of
'Wow that's really impressive....how much?'

And i was like... 'please let's not get into the cost'...
