Price is expected to be near there. This piece is quite huge with the base (even though it's not movie accurate)
I mean XM statues are $900+ for us overseas and no one complains about that...pay more you get more.
Either way this turned out quite good IMO. Just waiting on in hand pics now :D

Also woulda been nice if there was an exclusive with this..maybe 1/4 scale arc reactor
CANT WAIT FOR MARK III!!!

XM pieces are actually around $650 retail...it just ends up costing more because of the overseas shipping and customs. If you compare the proto of this piece from SDCC and the proto of the XM mark VII(including all the amazing addons you get and I'm not talking about a pathetic nameplate), it's not even close in terms of which gives you more value. The only salvation for this piece is that the production piece looks better than the proto...good luck with that happening guys! :lol

I am just waiting for the ball to drop and this turned into another ultron pf paint fiasco that's nowhere close to the photos.

Luckily with no ex I can just wait for inhand before ordering. Love how they jackup the price too coz it's ironman.

While it's true XM are far superior, it's still around a $900 price tag for us in the outer countries.
But I don't think this piece would have been $399 for cheap anyways

Crazy, the price is so high .....not really much paint detail to go into it. Its only one color. Hope they don't make this out of pvc

Well it is Legacy which usually adds to the price, I was jus unprepared for the extra $80, I was thinking more like $425-$440.

Really....had to bring up PVC...

Ha, yeah.. pretty sure that is the definition of Maquette in the collectible industry, because they aren't maquettes.

Good luck to all who order stuff from sideshow. After going though 3 mark VII half scale statues I have canceled all pre orders

Hey guys, I'm new to this but would love to have at least one IM Maquette. So from the entire IM line of maquettes they teased a few months ago, Mark 42, IP, and Mark 2 are what's available for PO, yes?

I love the Mark 2 and I love the gantry base, but not together, so I'll pass on this. Might just wait for Mark III-- hoping that the price won't be absurd by the time it goes live, seeing the $50 difference between Mark 42's $430 with switch-out head and Mark 2's $480.

Product Summary

“Jarvis, sometimes you gotta run before you can walk.”

From Marvel's 2008 blockbuster film, Iron Man, Tony Stark gets ready to suit up with the Iron Man Mark II Quarter Scale Maquette.

Teaming up with Legacy Effects Studio, the special FX masters behind every Iron Man film, Sideshow Collectibles is proud to bring you the ultimate screen-accurate representation of Tony’s first advanced prototype armor. Fully deployed and ready to be put to the test, the Mark II stands an incredible 26” tall on an impressive Stark Industries gantry base. Destined to one day become a true war machine, the sleek silver suit is crafted with premium grade polystone, finished with a high gloss metallic paint application, and brilliant light-up features in the eyes, chest and palm repulsors. Displayed along with a decorative ‘Iron Man Mark II' nameplate, this dynamic statue is an incredible addition to any Hall of Armor. Just be sure to steer clear of high altitudes...
