Seen it at Thai comic con, it is very huge, really like a suit with human inside, but painting not good but not worst either, by right so big thing I expect Ss can provide better painting job

Will keep it with this quality but definitely not worth USD 1000

I like this and think it turned out o.k. Not worth the $1000 asking price, more like $800 to me. I just wish the head was moveable like the boba fett bust.

almost every lifesize bust has gone on sale for significantly less than msrp. I got joker and GL that way. Hope to do the same with this guy.

What happened to that 'machined' paint look?

That's what everyone wants to know. :dunno

Don't forget the double rewards.

Yup... wiat for deals before buy

:lecture :goodpost: Wait for the inevitable discounts.

The paint on the few we've seen looks miles better than recent releases in terms of clean and crisp lines, which is good to see for an IM release.

Hopefully, the Mk 42 Maquette will follow suit with a clean, crisp paint app.

the MK42 1/1 bust is not metalic, the only good / bad is... too huge
no real iron man armor feel at all, just like cosplay resin armor

I got GL with a discount, but paid full for MKVII. I have enough reward points to make this a "good buy", but at discount would be awesome.

I just want it to be known my original comment saying this bust looked like garbage was deleted . I saw it today and it still looks like garbage. Having said that , I would get this bust with 20% off and double rewards
:lol

why would anyone pay say $700 (assuming 30% off) for something they describe as "garbage"?

That's a good question.

It has potential, it really does . You guys need to see it in person to understand what I'm getting at . The one thing holding the bust back is the paint job . A custom paint job will really make this guy look great . I would gladly pay $700 for it because my friend owns a body shop so I have acess to car paint. It will alIow me to have more options.

I always wonder why some people would pay the full asking price for a piece they know they have to customize the hell out of it to be happy with it. Question for you: If you are just getting it repainted then why not just buy a cast from it out of eBay for a fraction of the cost and then paint it? Would you consider that?

Exactly what I would do. Why drop over a grand when you can get it cast for a fraction of the cost, especially if you have access to automotive paints!

Just to let everybody know i got mine today. I was extremely pissed when i seen sideshows final pics.It looked nothing like prototypes premise.I lost all excitement and felt cheated.I was so close to cancelling at last minute. It arrived today and its incredible!.Id consider myself a person who nit picks at every detail. Its not like a cheap cosplay armour at all so Do Not Judge it until you see it up close or you will regret it.Its really impressive in real life.Everyone who came into my house was really blown away by it.Its far from perfect.Has some small imperfections but nothing too noticeable or bad.The paint mostly is really good and shiny red.Still not car quality but really good. The shoulders are cool and add loads of presence. Its never gonna be 100% perfect its still mostly hand made. Its a fantastic piece and it does look quite realistic.Im so glad i didnt cancel. The metallic paint would of been a huge bonus but thats life.I personally love it and would def advise others if they like Iron Man to get it.Its the centre piece of my collection nowiron man 1.jpgironman2.jpgironman3.jpg

Nice pics.

The only other problem I see, and this is only because I will get an acrylic display case made out for this, is that it appears that the piece should be displayed at an angle, which means a deeper case.
