Iron Studios 1/4 Darth Vader

I remember when many were complaining that PF prices had crossed the $500 mark. Now everyone seems to think this one should've been more expensive than it was I suppose it must go in cycles..

I'm happy with my mythos personally. Both are interesting sculpts, but it takes up a lot less room and looks better from different angles IMO. To me the IS Vader doesn't look all that good from anything other than straight-on, and in addition to that it needs a lot of space to "breathe" to avoid looking cramped.

It is incredibly impressive from that angle, though. Congrats to those who got one and good luck to those who haven't yet!

The biggest issue with Mythos Vader is SS screwed up on the head placement, he actually doesn't look directly at his hand holding his helmet. The way his head is angled it's off a bit. Unless you position him a certain way it's very noticeable IMO.. That said I still like my Mythos Vader...

I don't think it's been mentioned. But the wait list is now closed and this is listed as sold out..

So what does that mean for those of us who got on the waitlist before it sold out? Is it still possible to convert or is it game over?

I would imagine some will convert. Otherwise this would have been marked as sold out much earlier. Unless SS weren't sure about how many more they would be allocated. I went on the waitlist early so fingers crossed.

If you got on quick enough, it may convert. If you got on more recently, it's highly unlikely you'll get one. I'm on the wait list, I got on it day one so I guess we'll see. I like this a lot so I'll be happy if it converts, but at the same time, I wont mind if not as it's a great time to be an Alien & Predator collector between Prime 1 and cool props. So much to choose from these days...

This statue doesn't have a bad angle to it. It looks stunning from anywhere you look at it. I can't imagine thinking otherwise if you have it in person.

I think 650 was underpriced. I've paid more for less.

Now I haven’t seen it in person and I will today.

But from the pics and the word of mouth, it looks like a museum piece.

Agreed. There are some poorly executed photos though which could make it seem as if there are bad angles.

No doubt. In fact even some of Iron Studios photos had me doubting how any of the other arm options would look good. In fact that was one of the reasons I had cancelled my first order, the other was how much I was spending. But having it in hand, feeling the sheer weight of it, all the detail and craftsmanship, it's a steal at 650. Definitely museum status.

I literally feel a sense of relief I decided to reorder last minute before they sold out. I've never been so blown away by a figure as I am with this. There would be some major regret going on and I'd probably end up dropping a grand on it. I definitely plan on using other arms to switch it up every once in a while.

Hell photos of me can make or break how I look lol

I'm just beyond thrilled with this piece, it's really something special. I'm starting to sound like a broken record but I just can't get over it.

Unpacked my Vader today and he is EVERYTHING everyone is saying about him. Really an awesome piece! Question for those of you that have him in hand...do you have "feet" on the bottom of your base? Everything is perfect, but the bottom of the base is scratched to **** because there aren't any felt feet. Anyone else have this issue?

Whatever you wanna think about it, that's cool. I stand by what I said- lots of cramped looking displays in this thread due to how big this thing is. Easy enough to fix.
