They do leak, they damaged a remote for my thermo-central unit, and the Duracell should have lasted 2 more years.
Use Eneloops instead.

It's not just length of time. I've found that on devices used continuously like for led lights (not just remotes etc which are used sparingly), that once they start to go flat, say over weeks, they will eventually leak during that time.

Batteries absolutely leak over time. If a particular brand you use has never leaked on you, then you are lucky. I deal with AA's for work for the past 17 years, so I have seen my fair share fail. There is no way I'd leave them in a $650 statue.

Like I said use Eneloops - it is said Eneloop cells do not contain liquid electrolyte, therefore they cannot leak.

oh no.. end of October now ???? wow.. I though we would get him in August first... :(

I am glad. I am starting to scale down my collecting, but third and forth quarters I have a lot. This year should be it for me buying a lot of pieces. Now for the most part just pick a few pieces a year.

I've cut back significantly myself.
Ran out of space years ago and not going to continue buying new pieces only to put them in storage.
I don't want to part with any of my current pieces either. Not at the moment, at least. :)

A few piece I can't give up, the rest are going. I love them but I need P1 Robotech and I.A. TF, those should just be a few a year. If a great piece from another line show's up I might but that piece.. When I started collecting I could get 5 Pfs for $1,100 now I can get 2.
