Note that I never had any real issues with the sword. It had a very slight bend, but that is easily solved.
How did you solve? Mine is not completely straight either.
Unfortunately to get the bond you need you might have to put metal pins into it, which is quite a bit of work and you have to drill, insert the pins, use putty etc and then repaint.
The quality of the sword is so bad it cannot survive shipping if its not packaged perfectly. Ssc sent me 3 replacement parts, all survived but that sword came snapped in half and it was packaged very well and double boxed by them. My first one broke due to faulty magnet but honestly it didnt fall far and it snapped in half easily and pieces shattered off like shrapnel the polystone hand didnt have a single scratch or ding. The sword is made of cheap plastic junk
The material is so ****** i cannot even super glue it or cement bond it. Nothing sticks or bonds to this strange material. If anyone has any advice please let me know
Oh brother i cannot do that sort of work, looks like i am going to have to deal with the wife rage lol. I hate when women can say i told you so, but i will point out this is the first time i've been really screwed by sideshow, usually they come thru for me unfortunately the one time they failed it happened on a 1200 usd piece. Its not like we (my wife and I) cannot afford these things, but you guys know how women are, once a company scorns them they never want go back or give them another dime.
**** there is no way to hide it either Ill just have to swap out the other parts but i believe the deluxe is missing the offhand fist so i have to have mine duel wield infinity gauntlets lol. Christ i need to hide this ****er out of my sight every time i see it now it just pisses me off- maybe just boxing him up for all eternity is the answer, ill just snap him out of existence like ssc did my 1200 bucks and tell my wife they offered me a credit of some sort lol. I dont like lying to her but man sometimes its necessary to avoid huge problems like her not allowing me to buy from sideshow again- i cannot allow that cause i have crap ton of points saved up. Plus i dont like buying all my **** directly from P1, bbts, secret compass or spec fiction. I do like ssc but man they really ****ed me on this one.
I will admit part of it was my fault in that i didnt get a chance to open their ****ing replacement box right away, a family member of mine that lives out of state contracted covid and ended up passing away. But sideshow returns does not care about covid 19 not abiding by thier 30 days return policy for the broken replacement parts- even though i literally reported it in a timely fashion the first time. What company has the nerve to send you broken replacement parts then say you waited to long to open them even though you have a valid reason for doing so. Seriously how many times does a customer have to return a part before they get it right, like i trusted these *******s to send a replacement not a broken one- the box arrived in perfect condition so i had no reason to believe the contents would be ****ed up, it was NOT broken in transit it was broken by the ssc ***** worker who wrapped it way too tight. So of course i was distracted by the health and wellfare of a family member who i couldnt see, i told the dude it didnt feel right openeing a freakin package during this time- what message does that send to my son. Only statues matter lol.
The other pieces in the box arrived in perfect condition. The response the guy gave me was condecending as ****, he didnt even realize it was a replacement part, so he takes the canned message " thats why we require our customers to open products within 30 days, you did not open your thanos within the 30 days lol" No sorry sir you are mistaken i did report the defective problem with 30 days but the problem is the RMA replacment parts you sent me was broken too. I understand that you do not inspect every sealed package so i get the 30 day requirement, but on actual replacement parts???, why would a customer assume you would send him another broken part that is carefully inspected by your workers. With all due respect, we should be able to trust the replacement part is not broken especially when the package (outer box) arrives in pristine condition.
The funniest thing about all this, is that the CS agent who helped me originally with my first RMA request was not the one to respond even though i emailed her directly. Its like she asked this daniel guy hey we need to help this guy out, but he was **** that let me handle this ******* but he didnt even read my response or know it was an RMA part i was referring too. Beware of the Daniel, he is the worst most uncaring agent they have. He was cool before he got promoted to the returns coordinator, from then on its always bad news if you get him in a response lol. He is like the sidshow badcop to say no when they shouldnt be saying no or to lie, hell even in his response he lied first said they had limited replacement stock then later in his canned message said there was none. Thats the problem when you use canned messages and you dont even care enough or take the time to figure out what situation the customer is in when responding. How a guy like that gets promoted to Coordinator is beyond me, he would be better served working on the quality control side of things, a **** like that is perfect for that job, and thats they fail the most. Unless he is the ***** telling the returns department to send out broken replacements parts i wouldnt put it past him-but they would lose way too many customers that way so he unless he conned them he wouldnt have been promoted. I do however nominate **** Daniel as the QC coordinator at SSC that way his dickness can be put to good use, he can reject all the **** that factories send them. Just get him away from dealing with customers he doesnt give a rats *** about customer retention nor does care enough to read the email responses to understand what the customer is even talking about. I will not say how much money i've dropped with sideshow over the years but lets just say it was enough reward points for a few free statues that cost over 1k. If this is how they treat their good loyal customers during covid when love ones could contract it and die unexpectedly, a time when money is tight and the economy is constricting especially spending on frivolous expensive items like statues they are dumb as ****
No wonder they are resorting to selling junk action figures or crap collectibles you would never see on their site just a few years ago
You die of covid, your wife contacts Daniel at ssc about a broken statue she finally got around to open cause she was overwhelmed with terrible grief and could not bear to open it cause it would bring up memories and more pain. Daniel be like ***** who gives a **** about your husband you didnt open our package its your fault not only did you lose your husband you lose 1200 bucks you dumb ***** lol thanks for shopping at sideshow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously man this guys need to take a class in empathy and how to deal with customers, he also need to understand covid exists and is real and is ****ing up **** for not only them and late deliveries but their customers as well. I accept all their delayed shipments due to covid but they cannot accept my delay in opening a replacement part cause i was directly effected by covid. I dont get it at all

What is the material like? If super glue isn't bonding it may be worth trying a solvent cement.
I really like testors liquid cement. It basically melts the plastic back together so you want to be very careful with the application and it is only going to work on certain materials.
Myn should arrive this week which I?m hyped for, would love another sword hand as I would break that sword off and use it as a spare hand to pose him with just the gauntlet, now I will def be on the look out for a custom hand to pose Thanos in that comic book pose of infinity gauntlet, the armour and normal hand
If you find a custom PLEASE let me know because that is exactly what I want as well. You are going to love the statue. I marvel at it everyday.

I try to reach out on fb groups to see if any creator does custom work, but nothing is said. Ppl keep telling me IW version is better, but I find that statue to boring
It?s probably split straight down the middle between fans of dynamic poses vs fans of museum poses. For big, powerful villains the relaxed, confident sort of ?I Dare You? look works better for me. With the switch outs allowing you to depict different parts of the movie, this is the Thanos for me. The inclusion of the infinity gauntlet is just the icing on the cake.

It?s just Thanos in his most iconic look the armour, and there is so much to work with and it never gets boring, while IW is just two head sculpts and his dynamic pose, this pose is built for Thanos ready to snap it?s why he?s in this pose.
I may have found someone who can make the extra hand he?s called (Pabs customs- customs and repaints) on Facebook, but even then he said there is no guarantees

I messaged the admin, you can find plenty of Thanos throne head sculpts but never a basic fist sculpt for the sword hand, but If the sword is beyond repair break the sword off if needs be and wield Thanos with that bare hand with the gauntlet. If I could get hold of another spare sword hand I would break it off
A bare right hand seems like such a simple oversight. But it?s hard to complain since they included the infinity gauntlet in the first place which they didn?t have to do.
