The pose and sculpt look incredible.

Yeah. Still hope for a paintjob a little closer to the first prototype on the full diorama, considering how much that thing costs, but taking size and production paintjob as is into account (still pretty close to how the animal looked on set during that scene) it's overall the best mass produced JP T-Rex atm imo.

That very first proto was so damn incredible (min 2:25) though:

Me too. But seeing some in hand pictures of this thing made me realize again just how insanely massive the full dio is going to be.. finding a proper and not expensive af display case for something that huge is going to be as much a pain in the ass as finding a nice spot out of sunlight for it.

How would you guys describe the color? Greenish Grey? I do agree this color scheme is more faithful to the movie as opposed to the light orangy brown look chronicles been giving

Are these numbered? Are they going to announce an edition size on any of the JP dioramas? If I were going to get set A and set B I'd like them to be the same edition size numbers.

Wow that is a big difference isn’t it - that paint job really makes his beady yellow eye look like it’s bulging.

That's the unfairiest comparison i've ever seen. lol

It's however useful to show how they changed the right eye to look at Grant, further proof it is indeed the same piece as the full diorama.

Left eye is identical to the prototype.

It's a shame the paint apps haven't come out great. This was one really impressive proto.

Personally I think that looks great.

Certainly not as good as the prototype but if mine looks as good as yours when it manages to make i's way across the Atlantic I'll be a very happy collector.

It can always be repainted though I doubt I know anyone with the skill I'd trust to do so and I certainly wouldn't ship such a large item for risk of it being damaged.

What was the packaging like?
