I think it has been pretty much established that the final "colour" on the Mark VII is just fine, as far
as certain screen shots from the movie have proven. All in the eyes of the beholder, but still.
Mine arrives next week and was opened up, assembled and pictures were taken and sent to me before
he was shipped. I got him for about $50.00 less than the website price with free shipping, so I was happy about that.
From what I saw in the pics, he looked good. As long as he looks that good in person, I will be happy.
With anything that is hand painted and not machined, every LSF will be different, no doubt.
But for the overall size and lights and such you will probably never get a better Iron Man in 1:2 scale.
The Mark III LSF, while good in it's own right did not have the "pop" that this one does.
It lacked in not having the hand and foot lights, was too skinny in the torso area, and the pose was kind of "meh".
I don't think that this is a $2,000 failure. Could he be cheaper?... sure he could.
However, I think the bar is set way too high by some people, who expected to receive an actual movie suit
shrunk down to half-scale. I do agree that the arc reactor was not handled properly, but when it is lit-up,
it looks perfect. In direct comparison, that picture of the $4,000 full size Mark VI looked like crap.
I will be taking pics and everything when he arrives, but I am still excited to have one.
