i said its okay to like ****** movies. :dunno

and you didn't say you just LIKED Genisys.....(liar?) :lol

My mistake twice. But hey ******** hate me for it. I am clearly a ******* ******** for liking a movie.

My posts get edited for being "rude" but I see these all can stand.

Oh, look, the man who has to delete his hateful posts about me because he is not man enough to say them. :lol

Exactly- the PT are just plain bad films- TPM being the best (cough cough) of the three. Still bad. AOTC is just jibberish - baloated with no real plot that advances the story arc(well if you call it that) set up in TPM. Acting and dialogue not worthy of a high school(amateur) play.

Someone here once said if these weren't SW films and just some other sci-fi films they would be getting the award for the worst garbage in sci-fi history. Being SW films they get a pass from some folks.

If PM was released under a different name and not related to Lucas, but a newbie director... it would be treated exactly like people treat this movie:

It would get the same treatment... a BS Sci fi movie with awful acting, ridiculous plot and bad CGI (As well as awful character designs)

And the worst thing is that Battlefield Earth doesn't have anything AS HORRIBLE As Jar Jar... in that sense PT is WORSE than Battlefield Earth, it is more idiotic. No one is stepping on poo pee in BE.... Jesus Christ :gah: PM is really one of the worst big budget movies ever made.

(You could argue the plot to PM is Worse than the plot to BE as well.)

The Hobbit trilogy +========== Prequels

fixed that for you, they are equally bad for the same reasons each is bad ironically enough, It always feels to me like somehow George Lucas' soul took possession of Peter Jackson in the filming of the hobbits, or Lucas was secretly giving advice to Peter or something :lol something very fishy about the hobbit movies, they fail exactly the same way the prequels failed, for the same reasons.... I wouldn't be surprised if Peter and Lucas had secret meetings lol
I was thinking the same thing.

I think the thread's name could be "Is NOSTALGIA To Blame for PM Love"

you could argue this both ways, entitlement for hate doesn't work for me because I never saw the first movies when I was a child (Im sure they were played at my house when I was a baby but I don't remember anything about it, I was never a Star wars kid) I ended up seeing PM which to me felt like a fresh introduction to the franchise.
And I absolutely hated it, I regretted wasting the money to see it. I felt bored, felt confused, I felt pretty annoyed with the movie. even as a kid I could tell the acting was pretty bad, the plot was all over the place, there were things that as a kid I couldn't understand either.

So you can rule me out for Entitlement. At the same time... there are some movies I used to like that I happen to like just because of Nostalgia...
Nostalgia is a very very powerful and blinding thing. It could actually make you remember things differently. or see things differently. (Even after you see the movie again as a grown person, you still have that nostalgia feeling blinding you)

I used to think Godzilla 98 was a cool movie and I liked it a lot as a kid. Nowdays I can see all the awful things about it, but even to this day I can still feel that nostalgia thing creeping up on me about the movie.
Either some of the score, or a specific scene... it still brings me back to when I first watched it and when I loved it.

Now.... is Godzilla 98 a good movie? OF COURSE NOT! (And neither is PM) on storytelling or acting or even technical levels they are not very good films... Some people might love them, but they are still badly made movies.

I hate the prequels because they're terrible movies.

If they didn't have the Star Wars name, they would have been huge, forgotten-about flops just like John Carter.
