Is the Sideshow Freak board getting Elitist???

When I joined there seemed to be a LOT less flaming on the board, but SW was very new to SS and not many of the SW insaneists had joined.

I blame SW for the freak board change.

The influx of members, due to the Star Wars licence, hit this board like a tsunami. It certainly rattled the very foundations of Freakdom.

I don't think that the board is filled with Elitist *****. And I resent that someone would have that opinion.

You have to admit though if it wasn't for them getting Star Wars they would have not gotten many other licenses. They pulled in Lucas and everyone else followed suit.

I wouldn't go that far! These guys are well connected in the industry, and plus what really got them into the spotlight was a couple of small independent movies made in New Zealand.

By that I assume you mean LOTR? Don't misunderstand either I am not knocking Sideshow they are great! I am saying the boards didn't go any sort of way because of Star Wars fans. If anything Sideshow getting the license gave them more chances to make stuff from other films.

I don't think your knocking em but I think them getting SW only really helped with getting other Lucas properties. Some would even say the SW 1/6 line put the final nail in other lines that SS were producing (how's that for digging up dirt!). I guess it might of helped get them Tremors.

No, what he's saying is that there are 2 ways to look at SS getting the SW license.

For some who are not huge SW fans, they see SS getting the SW license as the final nail in other popular(before SW came along) lines.

No I'm not saying that, what I meant was some members back when SS first got the license for SW 12" figures were pretty distraught with them getting it. They felt it killed a lot of other lines by taking resources away from those lines and focusing on the SW line instead.

Star Wars is not the reason any negativity is on the boards. Its the type of fans it has along with it. There are some fans of the Saga who feel that everything done with SW should get their approval and be done their way. Then they *****, moan, and groan when it's not. Some of the biggest most spoiled cry baby fans I've ever seen are SW fans.

This is all being said by someone who is a fans of Star Wars.
