I used a damp cloth to dust both my Hellboy PFs a couple times. They both still look fine. Only done this two or three times. Should I be worried?

Wet a soft rag with water and wipe down a statue and then look at the rag. It will have the color of the statue on it. Don't know how it lifts the paint, but it does. At least on teh one I tried this one and will never try again.

It's that damn flouride! :monkey3

i think us collectors don't see much sun anyway, so there should be no issue.too busy admiring our purchases, the prices we pay what else can we do. always broke.

Not skin. :D

thats what happens to skin in the sun...that and skin cancer, whole ears and noses taken out...not pretty

i use compressed air to clean my collectibles! anyone know if it has any damaging chemicals in it or is it literally just compressed air? hate to think i was damaging my stuff with it!

I think its got some chemicals in it. At the very least it has the chemical that is in all aerosol cans that causes the stuff to spray out. I think its called a propellant, I can't recall. It's what people use to get high. Anyway, as for whether it does any damage, as I recall on Sideshow's site somewhere there is (or used to be) a page that talked about how to care for PF's and I believe it recommended using the canned air as well as a soft bristle brush to dust.

cheers guys for the info on the compressed air! i only collect transformers/HT/SS 1/6th scale figs! ive always been a bit weary about using canned air on them cos the effect it might have on some of the rubber components! but i do use it sparingly and do not clean my stuff too often!
