It's my name. Charles Gunn. With two n's. (victory sign)

Got my head yesterday. It looks fantastic. I'm just waiting on some pants for him, and Gunn will become a proud part of my Buffy/Angel display.

Thanks, Odo. I'm glad it got to you safe.

HL2, I sent you a PM.

VWS - Yes, I'm still working on the axe. I'm trying to get the blank of the blade thin enough so it'll look good, but still thick enough that it'll cast without problems. I may have to go with a super-thin resin, which I don't have at hand yet. I'll let you know how it goes.

Here's a pic of the 1 unpainted and 3 painted heads I have left:

Sorry for the fuzzies. More pics HERE.

BTW, the price in that link is the regular price. For Whedonville board members, it is still $16 unpainted, $36 painted. Just note your board name in your email and we're good.

I took a couple days off from axe-grinding to mod a Buck body. I did mention I'm OCD about these things, right? Anyway, I gave the Buck a couple more scale inches of height.

The head has a bit longer neck anyway, so I think it looks fine with a stock Buck, but I'm a little picky about that stuff. The only problem is that now I need longer pants! He looks a bit doofy with the light jeans. Also, here's a pic of the hands with the steel wool treatment:

The head's a one-shot with goatee, so it's not part of the 9-head run. The other Gunn is the proto head--also not counted in the 9-head run.

I thank that if you're having Gunn wear a hoodie, that the neck doesn't look too long at all.

Binky do you have any shots of this ax? I don't seem to recall it and I've been watching Gunn episodes to try and see it.

watch that episode from season 4 when they are all battling the beast. "apocalypse nowish" or whatever its called. i believe gunn throws the axe at the besat in that big battle scene and the beast crumples it up like a paper cup. needless to say that is the last time we see the axe.

EDIT: actually you cant really see it too well in that clip.

^That's still one of the most awesome scenes in the whole series, even if our heroes did get their ***** handed to them.

Here you go, Anzik:

Angel - coat from the Saturday Toys prison break set, pants - either Angel's original or from the original Spike (?), shirt - black dress shirt from one of the Dragons I think, shoes - Newline moderns.

The axe was only in three episodes:
S2 - Untouchable
S2 - Dear Boy
S4 - Apocalypse Nowish

Here's 3 of the pics from screen-capture.com I've been using:

Or Angel getting stabbed in the neck with his own stake.

Hmmmm....howbout we just say that whole scene is awesomeness incarnate.

Sorry about the lack of updates. I've been busy trying to finalize the financing on a new car (my first real "new" one) and most spare moments have been spent in the basement photographing and packing stuff to sell on eBay. I finished the head of the axe but it's gonna be a bear to try to figure out the mold on this one. If I get a spare moment I'll get a pic up.

Really sorry about the lack of updates to this. In my defense, I have gotten back into some head and whole figure projects, so my Buffy attention's been divided. Anyway, I am about ready to mount the handle bracket to the head of the axe, but I can't tell if there is an offset to the angle the bracket is mounted on. From the few clear pictures I can find, it does look like there's a slight offset, but then it might also be just the angle of the pics. The handle itself is curved (blue part on the pic). Gunn often had his right hand on the area where the bracket and the handle met. No offset on the left, offset on the right. Any thoughts?
