Well, you're a newb so your opinion doesn't really matter. :dunno

How am I a newb, noob?

You ever rip the hood off of an original Zartan? There's a groove left that almost looks like a reverse, into the head, mo hawk. So to me it doesn't look all that odd.... I'm not saying I want that piece of crap in 1/6th though.

You anger me. :cuss I am going to poop now.

:lol No, I haven't. He was waaaaaaay too cool to vandalize and doing that would've rendered his disguise mask unusable. But remember, Sideshow's reading. Any encouragement might very well wind up with us seeing that POS mohawk version in 1:6.

At least he isn't a newb who thinks that the Billy story arc "dominated the first 20 issues of the Marvel run" when in fact he didn't even make a single appearance in the first 20 issues. ;)

The story of Cobra is what I was referring to by "dominated." The story of Billy was key to that. But hey, you actually enjoyed ROC so I wouldn't expect you to know what's good and what's not. :p

This is the exact reason I posted "Billy?" a couple days ago, due to NAM saying the first 20 issues were dominated by the Billy arc..... Since I had just read the first 20 issues for the first time in almost 30 years I just wanted to know where in those issues did Billy dominate them? Seems to me that the Snake-Eyes, Quinn, Dr Venom arc was the most prevalent in those first 20 issues. According to k80's post the other day Billy was, in fact, in issue 10, but it was quite forgettable. Now I still need to poop....

Again, dominated by the story of Cobra, not Billy. And if I'm wrong about where Billy reappeared, consider it incentive to read further.

:lol You're setting me up to take the blame should SS go that route.... :nono

Should they, I'll be booking a flight south.... :tap

I have pooped :lecture

I was in my storage unit the other day but didn't look through the six boxes of comics I have there to find my Joe comics.... Vol 3 should be circulating pretty soon from what I understand so I'll just go that route.

You just say that because your favorite movie was shut out at the Oscars. :lol

None of my top 3 movies of the year were "shut out" at the Oscars, but that's beside the point.

To answer Irish's original question, yes I found similar amusement from ROC that I found with Batman & Robin and Roland Emmerich's Godzilla. Garbage movies that are ultimately harmless and thankfully didn't overshadow the "real" versions of those characters.

If somehow ROC had been a smashing success and caused most people to now associate Duke with Channing Tatum, Ripcord with Marlon Wayans, and most of GI Joe with shear idiocy then I'd be a lot less forgiving.

Rise of Cobra >>>>>>>>>>>> The Hurt Locker

:lecture

:lol :lol :lol You won't find a single person who will take that bait. :lol

Also, ROC was successful enough that Paramount announced that the sequel will NOT be a reboot. We're getting the same crap cast and likely the same crap director with the same crap designs.

My favorite and Duke's favorite part about ROC. Great casting for Scarlet. :lecture

It was worth a shot.

That's because the dumbasses at Paramount signed half the idiot cast to a two picture deal before letting any audiences see the finished product. We'll have to wait until at least the third movie for a reboot.
