I stopped with the Joes in 1987 so I never saw the Shockwave character. I must admit, he's a little underwhelming.

Shockwave's great but definitely a little out of left-field. I would rather have a good well-rounded out core group before getting into characters like that.

If females and muscle-bound characters are out until they develop new bodies, I'm thinking Hawk V2, Stalker and Shipwreck, at a minimum, before they get into lesser known characters like Shockwave.

Then again we do know he's coming, according to Sideshow, so I'm fairly certain we'll see him sooner than that...

It's hard for me to justify buying the guys I never had. Totally different story with figures I played with all the time... I'd take a Wild Weasel over Shockwave.

While he wasn't a key player, the character design was awesome, the suppressed UZI rocked and you couldn't beat the Rambo knife that slid neatly into his backpack.

Besides, the Night Force V2's flack jacket wound up being key to many of my kitbashed heroes.

Go ahead and continue waiting for your all-time favorite Sneak Peak we'll enjoy our Shockwaves.

GI Joe: The Movie pretty much closed out the franchise for me. I don't see myself getting a Shockwave figure either. He's definitely a cool design though.

Pretty much my perspective on things. And even with the movie, I'm not too interested in Cobra-La, Slaughter's crew, or the new Joe recruits. Except for Tunnel Rat, of course. I'm sure Shockwave would look great, but there are lots of great looking military figures in existence that I could care less about because I have no nostalgic connection to them.
