And they can include the commando sweater (please not SE's, though) and watch cap/extra headsculpt as accessories, so people can easily get the Devil's Due "modern" look if they want.

Add in Polly, some kind of grapple, and an MP-5 or something and you're golden, Sideshow.

Not sure he needs his "pirate" pistol, though.

they could simply give him a sawed-off shotgun, like the 25th annaversery version did. it looks enough like his vintage pirate gun.

Yup. trick it out, though. give it most of the add-on options from my post.

as well as giving it the sliencer, and removeable flash supressor, give it a holster, like this.

and possibly a "Big-***" nightvision scope.

Its a neet little firearm, becuase it has a VERY sci-fi feel to it.
