Shipwreck accessories list.

Grapnel hook.
Rope
Laser Rifle
Pistol
Blunderbuss ( Pirate gun proper name. why the hell not)
Shotgun
MP7
Grenades
Smoke grenades
Extra uniform ( 1 set sailor suit, 1 set sweater and watchcap)
Polly
standard hands
standard boots

I'd say that's a fairly extensive ( and pretty fair) accessories list.

sounds about right

Fixed it for ya!:wave

Ya think? I dunno. Seems a bit silly to me.

they could simply give him a sawed-off shotgun, like the 25th annaversery version did. it looks enough like his vintage pirate gun.

Yeah, I was about to say that, too.

They should just do a SEAL/Commando version, with bulging tatooed forearms and a fictional badass SMG.

I'm with Lerath - no need to fictional. I'm a bit tired of seeing that MP-7 though (that's what it is, right? Can't remember) ... I'd rather see a good ol' MP-5. I know they're used by boarding parties, so it's suitable for Shipwreck.

Ex. is a 1/6 pin up poster of CoverGirl.

I was actually thinking there should be a little picture of Cover Girl inside his hat or something. :)

Was it actually a blunderbuss? I'd have to check my original figure but I thought it was just a plain ol' flintlock or something. I don't remember that "flare" at the end of the muzzle...

Hey, if CC can have his "Hair Dryer" gun and Zartan his laser pistol, why shouldn't ShipWreck have his ARAH style flintlock just for fun? :dunno

Meh, I won't complain if it's included, but I probably won't display him with it.

I guess I'm fine with the sci-fi elements because they've always been a part of RAH... antique weapons, not so much (barring ninjas, I suppose). It seemed out of place on the 1985 figure, but it's small, so not as noticeable I guess!

The Navy currently is SLOWLY in the process of switching to the MP7 for boarding parties becuase of its compact size. it's smaller than the mp5 K, has a collapseable stock and foregrip with rails built in, and many many options. It also has a more powerful round appearently.

The US coast Gaurd has already switched over from the MP5 to the MP7.

HA! You're right. I missed that.

Hmm, cool, didn't know that.

Still though, I'm a bit tired of it, to be quite honest (not as much as that assault rifle that the Joes keep coming with, but still). We need a bit more variety, especially given what Sideshow's charging us. There are way to many reused weapons in this line...

Well think about it. Logicaly, as a military unit, Even as a group of specialists, there is going to be some weapons reused across the whole team. M4's in the hands of every army Soldier is something that's representative of the "real world" aspect. Tweaking exactly how the weapons are kitted out, imo, is the best way to show some varity, AND mild uniformity in the Joe Ranks.

I"m fine with some weapons reuse, if it makes sense for the character.
also helps keep the prices down

The prices have steadily risen even with a lot of the gear and weapons being reused. And while I agree with your next post about uniformity, much like their various uniforms, their weapons set each Joe apart. I love the real world approach Sideshow has taken, but I would still like to see a bit more variety; especially in regard to their weapons.

I mean, there's no reason the Joes shouldn't carry unique weapons. And certain figures seem ideally suited to carry more diverse guns. maybe not the best example, but I always pictured RocknRoll with a Magnum or a Desert Eagle; it would suit him. And I know that Hawk and Bludd have the revolvers, but I'd like to see a more traditional (smaller, snub-nosed) revolver as a standard sidearm on a Joe or two. I don't think any of that is too much to ask when $175 and up is pretty much the going rate for these figures.

On RnR,

Magnum, Yes Desert Eagle, NO.

The Isralie Arms Desert Eagle has a reputation for not being the most reliable gun in the world.

But given his love of Machine guns, I could see RnR with a Glock 18C

I said it HELPS to keep costs down. whither or not sideshow passes the savings onto us is another story.

That said,

IMO, EVERY joe team member SHOULD come with:

An M4 ( Standard Issue)
A sidearm ( 1911, or an M9. Standard Issue)

THEN Job specific weapon ( In the case of Rock n' Roll, for example, he has his machine gun)

Then a Personal weapon. this could vary from character to character.

Braved the heat to snap some Coulson (Avengers) pics today, and decided to do some of my RnR and Scarlett (bash) as well......

I actually kinda like her with the G-36.... I think it works quite well.

Some of Rock'N'Roll...

That last pic reminds me of "Rushmore":
-"Where you in Vietnam?"
~"Yes."
-"Where you in the ****?"
~"Yes, Max. I was in the ****."

And a few together. Shoulda tossed them into the hole I dug for Coulson (see the Coulson thread.... I did the "We found it" Easter Egg scene) and got out my Snake-Eyes to recreate "Hot Potato" from GI Joe #1.
