Concerning the possible Dusty proj.

Before I forget, and I know I will again if I don't post it now, what did Gimli cost roughly?

Those who were on the bandwagon in the beginning put him together for sub $100 (minus all the shipping charges :lol). I got mine together for around $73.

If they have the time to invest in statues and dios, I think they should scrap the whole idea and devote that time to upping the pace of figure releases. It'll take us 5 years to get 20 figures at this rate. I don't like that.

Well the gijoe line itself is huge and the characters are so uniquely different (drasticly different weapons and outfits and such) but all of kinda stand alone as far as main characters. So I suspect production for each individual fig is gonna take some time which basically sucks, just don't think theres anyway around it. Statues and dio's produced or not I think wouldn't have much effect in how soon we get them. I'd to see figures coming at a faster rate but I don't want rushed halfass joes ethier. Its no secret for example that the pro body's loose joints are an issue thats widely experienced and the pro bodys look wouldn't be too desirable for certain characters, Roadblock for instance. So, I'd like think sideshow is working on addressing those things and will eventually get into a good rythem for releases we can be impressed with.

I don't mind the rate that the figures are being released...but I wish info on upcoming figures would be more readily available. It would be nice to have "on deck" information on the next three or four figures, such as design specs or even preview pics.

You guys think either of the two surprise pre-orders (tomorrow and next Friday, 10/30) are Joe related? I don't think so, but it'd be a nice surprise.

Well, according to the Spooktacular New Products page, there will be three new 12" figures and one collectible figures set shown during Spooktacular. Hopefully one of them will be from the Joe line...

How many announcements did we get so far this year (not counting SDCC)? Three? If so, there's only one more left and I'm betting he'll pop up closer to B&W Friday.

Figure to get at least 1 Star Wars fella (possibly 2), probably a zombie, and I think a Joe may well be 3rd.

Firefly, it will be.

I agree for the most part. Zombie is a given, as well as the color version of Mort. Probably a Clone Trooper variant and a PF, unless they have the Cody bust done. Probably something fromDisney as well.

If we see another Indy figure before the next Joe/Cobra release I'm going to puke. For the love of God Sideshow fuel the line that actually sells.

This is and will always be my gripe with SS. You are in no way harming the line by letting info out early on products, if anything you keep discussion and hype going. This is why I think SS itself doesnt always know what direction/releases they are going to do next.

I know this is a pipe dream, but how cool would it be if the collectible figures set to be announced during Spooktacular turn out to be a Cobra Forces set like the Endor Rebel Troopers set? A set of a Viper, a BAT, and a Crimson Guard would be cool....

And I'm more likely to win the lottery tomorrow.

If the trooper was last yeat then we really only had 2 this year, SS and Duke, CCC doesnt count and the officer is a variant. SO we shoudl get two more, one during spook and one around the end of the year right?

Then give up the statues and stick with where the soul of G.I. Joe lies, the action figures. Personally, I think PFs and Dios are a waste here. It's attention that could be focused on developing more Joes.

Gotta say I agree. I already collect Marvel and Star Wars PFs; GI Joe is the only 12" line that I am still interested in.

The dios may be neat, and the detail on PFs will be perfect, but I really have no interest in getting into another PF line. Some people may be happy, but I don't see the dios and PFs taking off (although, I could be wrong).
