If you want muscle bodies, go drill a hole in the locker room at a gym. Leave the Joes and Cobra out of it.

Agreed! I think Destro would work fine on one of the newer versions of the Prometheus they developed. That's one figure I very much looking forward too and I hope we see him at some point in 2010.

Ugh...no thank you. I was planning on being a completist with this line, but if Sideshow releases Chuckles, I am not interested. Hit & Run, Low Light, or Tunnel Rat are FAR more interesting characters that would make much better 1/6th.

Disagree! I would happily take Chuckles. A Joe HUMINT operative is very interesting to me.

But to tell you the truth, anyone post-86 would be a low priority for me. Most of '86 would be too, to be quite honest, except for Hawk V2 and maybe Beach Head. (I'm just talking about Joes, though - I think Serpentor, Mindbender, Vipers and BATs are essential).

But Chuckles should be on the list... and has a right just like LL TR H&R.

It'll be a while (think 2013 :lol) before we see any non mainstream Joes.. We'll get FF and BH in 2010.. (2010-2011) then comes the Dio's and PF's.. then possible Scarlet, Destro and the Baroness.

It's not like his chest is all that exposed. As long as he has some mass, he'll be good.

The only thing that has the potential to be a problem is the double joint in the Pro neck. Destro's mask covers his neck. It would be strange to have a joint in the middle of that.

Honestly, I hope it does. When the more expensive statues start getting released, that means I will have significantly less money left over for the 12 inch toys.

Then give up the statues and stick with where the soul of G.I. Joe lies, the action figures. Personally, I think PFs and Dios are a waste here. It's attention that could be focused on developing more Joes.

Gotta say I agree with the nam on this one...

I don't mind the current rate of Joes. It fits into my budget and I like building up the anticipation for the next figure. If they put out 1 every other month I would not be nearly as into this line.

Not to mention Every release has been an awesome figure. So they are doing the right things in R&D between releases.

Even a SW elitist like me agree with you 100% here :) Who cares about these other lines stick to 1:6, the line that started it all.

I understand the sentiment, and of course, I've loved the Sideshow figures thus far. However, I'm ultimately interested in getting great, updated representations of the characters that I loved as a kid (and still do!), in various 3 dimensional forms. As such, I'm personally looking as forward to the Zartan/Flint statue as I am to the figures.

If you are only collecting because they are similar to what you collected as a kid (figures), then why stop there? Just go with the updated 3 3/4" inchers if you just want an updated representation of the 80s toys.

I really hope Sideshow makes a Nemesis Enforcer figure, and Tomax and Xomat figures with the grappling hook.

Personaly I would much prefer a line centered around 1/6 versions of the classic figures as well sensible environments to really help bring those figures to life.

I love PFs, especially the Marvel ones, but as much as I love Joes I think I'd rather save the cash and pick up an extra Trooper or two. That said IF/WHEN we get them I want 1/6ers first. A chrome dome '82 CC would be an awesome PF I'm sure but in 1/6 first please.

Because that's all that they need to do. I have almost the complete run from the comics (Marvel), the complete run of the new, most of the 25th Anny stuff, about 4 big storage bins of the oldschool 3 3/4"ers as well. I'm more interested in Sideshow's high-end 12" figures because they're great high-end collectibles and fit perfectly into just about every display while at the same time being the epitome of everything that the license is, because while they're high-end, they're still toys. I'll take three action figures over a $300 18" statue that just sits there, any day of the week! Dios are in the same boat. Why would I want to pay $200+ for a dio that does nothing but sit there? For the same cash, I can pick up two figures and pose them however I want.

If you want "modernized" interpretations of the characters, just invest in all the ROC garbage. I want my Joes. :lol
