A villain wanting revenge... didn't we already see this last movie? :lol

Still looks exciting though. :D

I have never watched a single episode of Star Trek, but absolutely loved the first movie. Can't wait for this one :yess: Though I will say I do have plans to watch all of star trek if its on netflix still. Just haven't had the time.

You havent seen the earlier films too?

The trailer rocks! :rock
Though it looked really cool, shouldn't the water be rolling off of warp fields as the ship is rising out of the ocean? :dunno
Still loved what I saw (Klingons!) and I can't wait to see more.

I hope the 10 minutes of STID shown before the Imax Hobbit will be at my local theater, is there some way of finding out?

Not so sure it is Gary Mitchell, I mean, is eyes look normal dudes!!!!!

true, but if you look at the first shot you see the character in, when he jumps 10 feet in the air, you can see him deflecting laser blasts before they hit him, who else has that kind of telekinetic power in the trek universe? The rumors i'm reading is that it's gary mitchell thats meets his end in the intro segment of the film which then sets up his return to kill and destroy the enterprise. But these are all rumors of course, I wouldn't mind this being khan either.

Gotta read the prequel comic, to see what all the hubbub is about. Re Kahn: Given that JJ Abrams decided to cast within race with each of the main characters for the first movie, makes me think he wouldn't cast a British actor in the role that was originated from a man born in Mexico City. Just my thought on that

No where near the amount of on the Enterprise bridge type old school vibe I was hoping for but that could just be they wanted to pack action into the teaser.

I'm sure he isn't Khan, he's wearing a Starfleet uniform in some scenes. Maybe in this version Kirk will succeed in marooning Gary and then he returns to earth way more powerful for revenge.

:exactly:

I hope the film isn't just wham bam spectacle with no Trekiness. i at least wanna see sarcastic qubbles between Spock and Mccoy

Haven't seen any of them. I always wanted to watch them just never found the time to go somewhere to rent them.

Highly recommended...the first one is like a long tv show but intro back to the characters again...music fantastic...the rest get even better

Thanks for the links!
Yea, it's showing at my local theater! :yess:

just checked same with me...The Hobbit Imax experience with the trailers and this opening ST scene might make it one of the best movie going experiences ever!
