Re: J.J. Abrams' Star Trek 2
I had no problem with the flares or the shaky camera, I quite liked it actually.

Maybe you should watch, instead of complain.
I had zero problem following the action. Only shakey stuff was when...GASP! ____ WAS SHAKING! Oh the nerve!
watch instead of complain? what do you mean?
I liked the movie, I liked Star Trek a lot actually, more than I thought I would
but the shaky cam is such a cheap gimmick to me, sure things are shaking, but shaking the camera to me doesn't add anything good
Imagine the camera shaking all over in movies like terminator, predator or Alien? would it make it better movies, honestly, it wouldn't, there is no need for the shaky cam
i just feel its just an annoying gimmick,
The Expendables and Transporter 3 were even worse, a lot worse, I just wish it doesn't become the norm in action movies
The shaky camera is not the problem, it's how it's used.
Some directors know how to use it to great effect, others not so much, just like everything else in movies.
Is Nimoy back for "Trek 2"?

WOW, that is a little surprising........cool though
Those are photos from the first Star Trek movie!
I'm curious about the new computer voice. Sadly, Majel Barrett passed away a short time after her work on Star Trek :/
Abrams need to really tone down, actually remove the Lens flare
NEVAR!
Hmmm... starfleet uniform, looks human, strong enough to fight Spock hand to hand... I wonder if he's playing Gary Mitchell?
Hope this doesn't feel so rushed, the first film felt like everything that was happening was this urgent rush emergency situation, they had no time to relax, drink some Tranya, play 3D Chess, even visit Bones with a headache or go form a landing party for a mission, well there wasn't a mission really in the first, just something that happened that they had to respond to.
Hope this feels more like they're on a mission from starfleet, have a landing party do some classic TOS stuff before things get hairy, that way it feels like if there wasn't all this action and flare there'd still be some substance to the characters.
