What do you mean? Sorry I'm really new to Sideshow Collectibles and am still trying to keep up. :panic:

Thanks in advance!

Every order you place with Sideshow directly you gain reward points, one per dollar spent. These reward points are good for 5% back on any future order, so, if you order the Spider-man Comiquette from Sideshow directly you get 300 reward points, or $15(300/20=15) to use on a future order. The more you order directly, the more points you can save up. A lot of people try to save up the cost of a statue so they basically get one for free.

Yup, I'm from Singapore. Super far away and inevitably, crazy shipping costs. :/ Can someone explain when discounts or rewards points are better?

actually, it depends... if he's an international, the discount could be more then he'd gather with the reward points...

Yeh forgot how 'cheap' the figures were.
What difference does being an International customer make? Still get the same rewards :dunno

My point was don't use a $20 discount code on, say, the $1,200 P2 Maquette :lol

If your discount is over 5% I'd say use it. If not, then take the rewards. Since you're outside of the US, if you don't need the Exclusive version it my be cheaper to by the regular version through a local/internet retailer.

Thanks for the input guys. :)

No I didn't follow Spook. Was Sideshow just giving away points? :/ I used to collect Hot Toys and slowly sold off my collection to fund for my house. And now I'm thinking about moving into statues. (Though I told myself it'll be just a FEW). lol

At this moment, there aren't any discount codes right? Also, does Sideshow mention when the datelines for its POs are?

The difference lays in the fact that we pay higher shipping costs and import fees on items bought directly from sideshow while most stores ship for free on items above xx amount (which is a category most statues fall in). Also, no import fees and prizes that are about the same (and frequently less) as the dollar prizes converted from sideshow. Those generally make it more interesting to buy them locally.

I thought it went without saying that any international collector should buy locally if the Ex wasn't important to them.
Buying direct isn't that much more for me and the Ex usually holds a better value, there's also the 5% rewards to consider.

I thought it would be much higher. That's a decent ex number, not as good as the 500 for the terminator, but good enough.

Ordered, this looks too good to pass up.
