Didn't they do that for the thing PF?
I wish they had gone for the black costume repaint. Make it a different costume completely. I still prefer the original but being a Campbell collector it's tempting. How hard would it have been to change it up a bit? New arms and head for example instead of just a repaint.

I don't think he's as dark as this pic shows. He's more dark blue then black. It's just bad lighting. The pic is way off showing him as black instead of dark blue. Other pics show this in dark blue which is so much better looking.

Wouldn't be surprise of that. Soon, they probably do that with Batman Pf , blue variant.

I think I like the variant better. I wish the words weren't on the background but I like the darker costume. It's not a priority though so I'm going to wait and see if this is around for awhile.

The new one is so much better! Also I love the new one's graffiti on the wall and let's hope this one will turn out better...
The base was my issue on the last one...I was excited up until I realized is was a repaint.

Its just like the iron spiderman and back in black comiquette, same damn statue. I see this one selling out too at some point. I think a black costume would have been way cooler but I like the way this one looks too. I'll probably end up putting my order in...just not today

I sold mine off. Unless Im really wowed by particular, popular comic characters, Ive pretty much had it with these whole variants and these characters. Give us some characters that havent been made yet.
Well you can't always say that. People whom are new to the hobby want to pick up popular characters along with other lesser know characters too. SS won't stop making them because there will always be new people that want a diverse collection of both Pop characters and unique ones. SS has to grow as a company and expand to really tap the different characters like we would like to see.
I like the new base and the paint apps look like they could be nice... Too bad he is only 4 inches tall
What is the problem with this statue? I think it is advertised as 1/4 scale but I always read it is so small.
I still discuss to sell my original Comiquette and get this one as a replacement. I kind of prefer this "new" pose and the new colour variant is something I do like quite alot (just a matter lf taste I would say).
Does anybody own both statues and can post a side by side?

This is a 1/5 statue, and as such is small when put with most 1/4 statues. It does look great with most other 1/5s or 1/4 that are suppose to be beastly large. Here are some size comparison picks for you. They are not mine by the way.
IMHO this is not a replacement for the original Com by any stretch do the imagination. However, I would be patient and wait for the two other 1/4 Spiderman statues that are suppose to be coming from SSC (an AM2 and a comic one). That or the XM 1/4 Spiderman that is rumored to be very close. You will have options that are better suited to 1/4 displays. Now if you love the Varient I would just buy it. At $300 you can't go wrong really. Unless the QC sucks on it like it did on many of the originals. I just didn't want you thinking this is a 1/4 though.
It is a replacement for the original com. I have no desire for the original now. Just to set the record straight. I am extremely happy with my decision to substitute this for the original 1/4th. Some may argue that it's not but to say it could not be is silly.
