From the pics it looks a lot better than it did when it was first revealed....if it was 1/4 scale instead of 1/5, I might think about ordering it.

Totally agree about it looking better which makes me think...SSC needs to seriously up their marketing game. The pictures I've seen from fellow collectors BLOWS SSCs pictures out of the water and that's been a reoccuring theme. You basically have to look at the SSC gallery pictures of a piece and imagne it looks better everytime.

As for 1/4 or 1/5...I tend to collect what I like (within reason so things aren't just all over the place in my collection out of scale) but I actually like that this 3 statue combo is 1/5 because it saves on room if you're planning on picking up all three. Also I'm not sure if I'd want a 1/4 MJ or GWEN...where as 1/5 altough not leaps and bounds smaller works better for posing three related statues and should bring down the price some...probably not a lot but some.

I prefer this new one to the other. Love that this has so much expression and style to it. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

Now someone buy it for me, I can't afford to get everything.

That's exactly what I was about to type. That's I like it so much. So much character and style. Looks great!

I might have to get this since I don't have a definitive Spidey statue in my collection. I have the original Bowen Symbiote, the faux bronze of the classic Bowen, and the Master Replicas McFarlane piece. I wanted to get the Kotobukiya but I waited too long. I really like how all three of the Campbell comiquettes turned out so I'll see what the prices are and go from there.

I've got the Faux Bronze trio of Spider-Man, Symbiote Suit Variant, and Venom. They look awesome together. Sounds like a nice collection, you've got as well! :rock

This is literally going to be one of those walk around pieces. BOSS!

I like where this thread is going! Lots of believers and non-believers being converted! :D :rock :rock :rock

This piece will be awesome once in-hand. Jump on the 'train' now! All aboard!!! *CHHOOOOOO CHHHOOOOOOOO* :lol :panic:

The reason I like this one more than the other, because this one looks like it lept right off the comic book page. The dark lines and colour contrasts look so much out of an illustration. It reminds me of the Batman Black & White Mike Mignolia piece that DC Direct did some years ago.

Agreed and agreed.

The matte-like finish on this is a big 'win' for me as well. This came together so very nicely. I have to give SSC props.

You planning on taking the plunge with all three?

1/5 isn't that much smaller than 1/4 :lecture

Depending on the character it can be un-noticable.

I love my Comiquette but this is in my eye just as good if not better because he's got that lanky muscly spidery looks that you see more of in the comics nowadays, the matte finish and darker blue look great and the eyes have expression to them.

No one is better really because they are simply different versions of the same character, a character who appears in all kinds of drawing styles.

It is better because I said so... "Eli26 aka No. 1 Buffy fan." - Said by Chapter 2099

I just got to finally viewing this piece, and I gotta say...it is gnarly! I love it, man. Even at 1/5th scale, it kicks the **** outta the original comiquette.

From the look of it this has seams at both shoulders and on the left leg at the top of the thigh. The leg one looks bad.
