I cannot wait for this statue!!! Right now all I have is two bowens one the classic museum and the other is a 1995 Spidey on a wall done by Randy for Creative. Once this comes I will most likely be selling both! I cannot wait for this collection to go up for sale!

I am going to say that if there is a COH that has symmetric eyes then this Will stand up nicely with the original..... If not... Then the original will dominate this one.

I assume there is only going to be an art print for the EX....sadly....and IMO the girls will get art prints too. I was hoping for a topless MJ :wink1:, a Gwen with open eyes, and a COH for Spidey.
Oh I guess I have high expectations...:lol
For those preordering will get them this time next year :sleep

From the look of it this has seams at both shoulders and on the left leg at the top of the thigh. The leg one looks bad.
Damn, I was thinking the EXACT same thing but didn't want to rain on anyones parade. I know a lot of peeps want this piece to be great because the prices on the original Com are high but he looks like a damn jigsaw puzzle to me. Way too many seams on this piece for my liking. The seam on his leg looks particularly bad and out of place. I just can't stop looking at it whenever I see pics or videos of this piece.

Looks like I'll be adding a Spidey to my collection. Will probably get MJ to keep him company too.

1/5 isn't that much smaller than 1/4 :lecture

Depending on the character it can be un-noticable.

I love my Comiquette but this is in my eye just as good if not better because he's got that lanky muscly spidery looks that you see more of in the comics nowadays, the matte finish and darker blue look great and the eyes have expression to them.

No one is better really because they are simply different versions of the same character, a character who appears in all kinds of drawing styles.

:exactly: it's all about opinion & tastes.

If I'm honest I would never swap the original CQ for this because for a start its 1/4 but that probably won't be a big issue to most other collectors & I don't know how to explain it but the original is an obvious Spider-Man if that make sense, probably not :cuckoo: but at the same time I just love this new version the more I see it. I love the details & the quirkiness, so I guess I'll just have to get both :D :rock

This is much better than I thought. I like the matte finish and the musculature of it. The fingers are a bit long, but not unacceptable.
After the last Spider-Man comiquette QC issues with the webs being so unbelievably sloppy, I don't really look forward to the production pieces.
I also don't like the purplish cast to the blue. I would prefer a truer blue, but darker than the previous Comiquette.

Yes I always love the matte paint way better. Then shiney paint which looks more like a action figure.

That video of Spidey and Jaime was hilarious. The new suit looks perfect and it is gonna be a tough decision to make when it comes to buying this piece or buy a Hot Toys version of Amazing Spider-Man 2. Who the heck am I kidding in the end ill prolly end up getting both.

Spoken like a true addict :wave

Lmao! I knew my comment would get some people butt-hurt. It's alright..you don't have to admit it.

So long as you like this Com, that's all that matters. You should never care what other people think. However, to openly dismiss the original Com the way you did is laughable IMHO. No matter how anyone feels about this Com, the original is still an incredible piece. One doesn't have to be slighted to enjoy the other.

He prob knows that filip, he prob just wanted to get a rise. Which he obviously did. Anyone who appreciates Spidey on here can't dispute what an amazing statue the 1/4th com it in its own right. Period. This is different and I am glad.

I couldn't agree more King. Variety is a great thing. As great as the old Doom, Hulk, Cap, and Thor PFs are, I'm very much looking forward to a different 1/4 scale interpretation to those characters in their classic costumes. For various reasons, I passed on all of them. I'll be happy as hell when I see new/different versions of those classic characters get made. The new Doom sneak peek has me waiting anxiously. I only hope he's 1/4 scale. If SSC can do 2 different Red Skull PFs, Doom (and the others) are certainly worthy of the same treatment. I can't wait to see them.
