Word! They should just leave items up for a week or two, then close it out and that's your ES...the number of people who ordered it because they actually want it.

I get what your saying. I know I wouldn't have a problem ordering since I watch these forums like a hawk. Others who don't would not be so lucky if your method went live.

Would seem they have no problem releasing a huge ES early, everything else is TBD for months.

Even if something has such a high ES, I think it is still possible that a much lower number of statues may be produced if interest dies down since they do them in batches. What its unclear is how many casting days they will reserve the right to fulfil the ES. As an example, we've just seen the Mythos Darth Maul complete its second run...just a thought...

Spiderman will sell out no matter WHAT the ES is... So will MJ she is to darn nice looking to not sell out. How long it takes is the key... And if she goes on discount... Lol.

I'm still waiting to see if some of these high es items will eventually go on sale. I definitely want this mj but I'm gonna wait to see if I can pick it up on a discount.

I think you should do what you wish. I am sure there will be some deals with these non Ex pieces

Time will tell. I'm most interested in seeing if ss will discount these popular items. I'm gonna wait based on experience. I have sold a lot of high es items at a loss so I stopped going that route but ss is really challenging me on this one.

I hate to say it because I will sound like someone else here, but I have a feeling that some will be selling this at a loss down the road and THAT will be when you get your deal. DeadPool and GL have much smaller ESs then this and they are already showing up in the foresale section, and though they don't have deals, I think this piece surface a few times at a lower price.

I KNEW exactly how it sounded when I said it, BUT in this case with the larger ESs and no Exs I think it MIGHT be true....

haha, same here, like I said, well see. I agree, no ex, large ES, high price...that a lot of factors working against price increase and encouraging decrease. This is new ground for SS and its fans but not unfamiliar territory for those of us who have collected Bowen, DCD or Kotobukiya.

Yeah that is what I was thinking... It IS a pattern I have heard can affect Bowen pieces. It should be interesting to see what happens... I can see all three being sold as a set by a few collectors down the road.

I still think Spidey will sell for more in a few years to come, just because its Spidey but then I always see ridiculously high asking prices for some pieces but do they ever sell! Theres asking a price and an actual sale price
I know that my figures wont find themselves on eBay for sale they are here to stay lol

A lot of the crazy high "sold" prices in ebay are shills, friends of the seller who don't actually buy the statue, and the seller can file a did not pay and put it right up for sale again. If you want a deal on eBay you should always check the prices here and on SF or SM, then email the sellers. They will often drop the price. The best example I can say right now is the Skaar Ex which sells here for $500-$600, but is often $800-$1000 on eBay. In the end though this is a 1/5 line with NO Ex, and HUGE ES numbers if we are guessing right. These may sell for a profit down the road, but at least initially there will be guys here who are selling them at least a little cheaper then retail. Not the $100-$200 kind of thing that certain people like to go on and on, but a little cheaper.
