I found this post from an earlier thread that quoted the size from an online retailer:

Product Type: 12-inch Figure Product Size: 26" L (660mm) x 12" D (304mm) x 9" H (229mm)* Est. Box Size: 28" L (711mm) x 14" W (356mm) x 12" H (304mm)* Est. Product Ship Weight: 20.00 lbs (8.64 Kg)

I may be crazy but I thought I saw something on the website similar to this after reading the post, but now the sizes have all been changed.

I guess I'm a little surprised by the new dimensions, if Jabba's throne is 13" tall that would mean its taller than a 1/6 figure? That seems kinda crazy?

EDIT Also check this out from Sideshow's Throne listing:

Product Size: 29" L (737mm) x 17" D (432mm) x 13" H (330mm)
Including Jabba: 16" H (406mm)*

Est. Box Size: 28" L (711mm) x 14" W (356mm) x 12" H (304mm)*

I understand its an estimate and might be wrong, but they have each length of the box as less than the actual product?!?

Holy crap. I just plugged this into the shipping calculator on the fedex site - its going to cost me $US230 in shipping........... I think I'm going to have to cancel.

Hey guys! The updated throne dimensions include the gargoyle heads that stick out from the sides and the front. They measure about 1 1/2" each, so the actual measurement of just the main slab of Throne is about 24" long by 15 1/2" deep. But if you are measuring to put into a specific spot, I guess you've got to take in the heads too. Also, the height is measured up to the top of the bowl. The height of the stone slab is about 4 1/2 inches I believe. Besides, the height of just the Throne should not matter too much, as you will not be displaying the Throne all by itself will you? (that would be strange!) So the height of both Jabba and the Throne will be about 16 inches. (Also, always keep in mind that the final production items may vary in size slightly, which is why all of the measurements say 'estimated'!)

As for the box, dimensions are NOT known yet, as it has yet to be designed. As soon as we know, we will update, as we know many of you are concerned about shipping and storage for these pieces. Remember, he won't ship until Jan/Feb/Mar 2007 at the EARLIEST, so don't panic *too* much yet :) :duff

Thanks for that update Dusty. So the box isnt' designed yet? How early are the figures packages usally started? A month before release, two, what? Just curious is all.

Thanks Dusty, I was wondering if the heads were part of the overall length :)monkey3 ). But that's good to know, it might not be as much of an overhang... but that throne is still crazy big :google But sorry to all if I came off sounding *****y, I was just very shocked when I saw the revised sizes.

And don't worry, I'm definitely happy with the Detolfs, I was just really looking forward to Jabba being the topper to the display :monkey2 I imagine if I really got creative I could make some sort of extension for the Detolfs to accomodate the throne.

You could get 4 total, place them together in a square and have the throne top them. Have the doors face away from the center (or in the center if you aren't going to move them much) so they can still be opened. I don't think an inch or two of overhang on a side or two would be a problem.

Hmmm a cube of action figures... not a bad idea, but it could upset the flow of my (rather) small office :lol But that could be a great idea for a future upgrade :chew

My God in Heaven this is huge. I measured out the 29"X17", which freaked me out, but seeing it like this makes me understand just how huge it is!

I can't even consider this part of the 12" line. Look at that thing, it's a PF!!!!

For $352.97(Jabba, Throne, Creature pack) before shipping I think its fair to consider him PF.

Can you imagine who big he would be if he was in scale with the other PF figures:horror

Forget finding a shelf big enough for him, you'd have to dedicate a whole room for him.

"Look at the size of that thing!" was a quote from Wedge in ANH about the Death Star but the same applies to Sideshow's 1/6 Jabba and his throne. I'm going to have to replace some of my current shelving for ones large enough for Jabba & co and find somewhere else for my TV,DVD player and PS2 to go but it'll be worth it as I'll then be able to display this amazing piece properly. The only thing I'm not looking forward to is the shipping cost to the UK.

Um, yeah... reality is starting to set it in and I am starting to thing where the crap I am going to put all this stuff... Not too sure if I have room for Jabba et al.:monkey2 :monkey2

Hehe, all i know is that if i don't have room for Jabba, I will MAKE room. This is something I've been waiting 10 years for!

Amen. I just measured the top of my dresser, and Jabba will fit on there with a full 1 1/2 inch to spare before his head hits my shelves. Tight, but do-able.

Don't forget to save room for Bib.

I'm so glad my ex left me her entertainment center! This is going in the center and will be a great center piece for my 12" collection.

I'm a little disappointed that the pillows are sculpted and not real miniature pillows... but they sure look real. Hope the paint apps keep it that way.
