Looking closely, there appears to be a seam separating the neck from the body, which doesn't look like it's part of the actual costume design:

Sculpt looks great IMO, as far as the comics go, I still cannot figure out why with everything Steve Rogers was all about, why his replacement carries a gun?

Because he's not Steve, he's his own Captain America.

Reading the comics, when Bucky was first introduced as Cap, the concept worked because Bucky isn't a one dimensional character. Steve was his mentor, but he has different experiences and abilities than Steve, so he does it his own way.

Actually, the evolution from Bucky to cap was a HUGE part of the story. Lots of time went in to building the ground rules of the new Cap. Basically, if you read the comics, they kinda ret-con Bucky a bit. On the surface Bucky was cap's young side kick that was used as a poster child for young recruits in WWII, but in reality he was a special forces solo soldier trained by cap. He would do the behind the scenes dirty work that Cap couldnt be connected to because of his status as an all American hero. Then of course, he was Winter soldier and did terrible things.

In the comics, he actually wrestled with the idea of taking on the role of Cap because of his dark past and less then ideal moral fortitude. In the end, he decided NOT to pretend to be Steve Rogers, but become his own version of Captain America. Combining the symbolic nature of Captain America with is gritty and darker personality.

Also, it was touched on that while Bucky is a brilliant tactician and formidable fighter, he doesnt have the super abilities granted by the Super Soldier serum. In fact the only reason he can even wield Cap's shield is because of his bionic arm. He again wrestled with the idea of using a gun, but in the end practicality won out and he carried it to level the playing field.

btw, you guys think in the story, Bucky is now permanently Captain America or will Steve Rogers somehow take the shield once again?

Nothing is permanent in comics....

IMHO, Steve Rodgers will eventually pick up the shield once again.

After the Siege saga, Bucky handed the Shield to Cap. but he refused.

What a dilemma. If I somehow knew Bucky was going to stay as Captain America, then I would 100% get this PF, but there's also a chance he will be a temporary Captain America, which personally would feel weird getting this PF.

One of the reasons I believe Rogers will once again be Captain America is because of the impending Captain America and Avengers movies. Would Marvel allow Bucky to remain Captain America in the comics while Steve Rogers is Captain America in the movies?

I also think about all the one shots and mini series Marvel published when the Iron Man movies were released. I assume they want to do the same thing with Captain America. Would Marvel publish books simultaneously with Bucky as Cap in some books and Steve as Cap in the books tied to the movies? Seems to me Marvel would want to keep things as simple as possible to not risk confusing potential movie goers.

Just speculation on my part....

I thought this was supposed to be a comiquette?

EDIT: I just reviewed the original thread about this and realized that it was just speculation that this was going to be a com at the time.

Hmmm, I would imagine that you're working under the assumption that the Marvel film department actually cares about what is happening in the comics (today, or ever). Given how loosely based some Marvel movie themes are tied to actual comics lore, I can't imagine the producers caring all that much to what is happening in comics today... lol

...Organic web shooters... Doom as a business man... Hulk who literally grows as tall as a house... Sue Storm dating Doom... the Sandman link to the death of Uncle Ben... Joker killing the Waynes... Lois Lane having Superman's child... I can go on and on... lol.
