Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Mmm, not bad really.

I'll be able to weigh things up better when all the ones I'm considering are out.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Who's still using either a camera or software that doesn't add/recognize a rotation tag in the image? Is it the forum software not recognizing the tag and stripping it when it resizes the image? I feel like I'm back in 1997.

I just used the regular tt cheap body here in the grey suit. But the joints are still good , but I always swap out the hands with HT spare hands or I buy some spare hands , the ones that comes with the bodies are too big looking, and not a good skin tone match to most sculpts.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Sorr-you mean TTL toys city or ttm etc-there is a lot of kind of tt bodies.I'm afraid they also are different in size.Maybe you can give link wich one you have.Thanks.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Yeah Roger, but there are even few different kind of them. And new one model is 90-120$.He wrote-cheap one.So...But do you know wich bodies are smollest from all 1/6 scale?Maybe medicom?

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

The Enterbay RM-5 is among the smallest. The TT most refer to as standard is the Narrow Shoulder one.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Yes is the one Roger mentioned, if u buy loose bodies of HTs is double the cost or triple, the cheaper version I think is called the alpha body? Am not too sure the name. But is on eBay also.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I'm close to ordering the simplz toyz head. But it's £40 and that's a lot to spend on a head that's potentially too small...we need some definitive pictures. Nothing grinds my gears in this hobby more than a head that is a great likeness but is out of scale.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I,ll try help Platty :D but my stupid iPad pics might do the opposite,

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

TT = Hot Toys Truetype - there are 3 current models, slim, regular and muscular. Models TTM22, TTM21 and TTM20.

TTL is not the same thing as Hot Toys TT.

There's no such thing as a "cheap" TrueType nor "inexpensive" TrueType. Slim and Regular are each $50 retail and muscular is $60. You might find them for a couple of dollars less and much much higher, especially on eBay.

There are knock-off (forgeries, copies, imitations) of TT bodies and you can find many of them on eBay listed as "custom body" and other variations. They will also be labeled things like "narrow shoulder" which is the equivalent of the Hot Toys TT Regular.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Thaks. But which body you will advise as small enough for simplz head, but not to small for new toys smoking?;)Meybe enterbay?

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

In Des's later pics the size looks ok, but, he looks a bit of a conehead. That could be sorted, but, only if you know what you're doing. I do, but, it's having to that would put me off. The other thing is that there is a possibility that no two Simplz heads are going to be the same size.

In answer to your question, Gido, a Narrow Shouldered TrueType, or knock off thereof if you so wish, is the one to use. It is to scale for Bond, which any smaller body wouldn't be.

That said, I think the DID nude will be far cheaper and you may get a head and body for the same price as that Simplz head.

I've decided to keep my powder dry till the DID is out and decide once and for all which will suit my needs....
