Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Are there any third party outfits made for Craig/Bond from the Madagascar chase scene in Royale?

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Great job on that figure.
Love christopher walken what head sculpt is that and do you have a close up?

This is what I used until a better one shows its ugly mug...

Finished Zorin for the holidays... both riding gloves made him look like he had flippers so I split the difference...

My camera has real trouble focusing lately, my apologies.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Chilipep66 showed me his bleaching and dying midnight blue of the black toyscity tux and as suspected the collars and pockets stayed black! On a coulson and with the BBkill head the results are phenomenal. Strangely and surprising to me i still prefer the verycool tux but for those unable to find one you have the most solid option now!

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

That's so sweet wor gar! An the tailoring in the suit is sublime!

Wow, thank you very much! I re-stitched the coat three times before I was satisfied, so to have someone take notice -- especially being you -- means the world to me. Thank you.

I would love to see this TC tux dyed to midnight blue. I have a Silva now so I'd really like to finish my Skyfall bond. Do you have pictures? Did I miss them somewhere?

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I had some trouble bleaching some of those toys city suits. I'd love to hear an effective method.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

hey fellas, just bleach for about 10 minutes leaves the tux a grey color, dyed for 20 minutes in RIT Navy blue and I think I achieved the perfect shade of blue! also added a magnet closure to the jacket, once this is painted, it will be THE perfect bond! this is just a quick phone shot

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Looks great buddy!

Loving all the contributions so far on how to make a perfect skyfall bond.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I finally picked up my long-ago ordered Toys City tux - it's great, super tailoring and finish. And while it fits the HT Regular (TTM21) it's a little too tight on the arms for my liking. The biggest issue in kit bashing something like a suit for someone like Bond, is that he doesn't wear anything off the rack. ;) I'm confident that a TT knock-off like the one I used for My Brother's Worker would work better - pretty much identical legs and mid-section with different arms, the older and less sculpted Narrow Shoulder HT versions.

The tie will need some mods for my Sean Connery custom, and I'd love to add ribbon to the pants and jacket cuffs someday. I'll pull the trigger on a hat soon which I'll also modify and still looking for a suitable overcoat. The overcoat will just hand on a coat rack. Which reminds me, I also have to find or make a coat rack. ;)

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Hi all - need some help/advice from everyone here.

I am buying the heads that the incredibly talented board member Inigou is creating but obviously I need bodies for them.

I have gone through this thread in detail but I am so confused.

So here's the deal:

1/ I don't want to spend crazy money if I can help it
2/ Ideally I just want everything in one place rather than have to head off to all sorts of places (i.e. get a body here, shoes here etc etc)
3/ I want my Bonds to look great though.

The DID Agent Jack appears to be my best move but is the tux any good - also do you get an actual body with it as some auctions seem to show one and others don't?

People also keep mentioning toyscity and verycool but its just making me confused.

Someone help sum it all up for me and help me create perfect 1/6 Bonds.

Thanks all.

Honestly, you will have to put more work into it than simply sitting in front of your computer and receiving replies from other posters. If you're not willing to make multiple purchases, let me warn you off the whole thing right now. Give up and don't bother, this isn't for you.

Now, that said, everything can be bought from eBay from different sellers.

People also keep mentioning toyscity and verycool but its just making me confused.

Those are two brands of 1/6 clothing. Both brands make Tuxedos, Toys City being by far the higher quality and better fitting of the two. Available as mentioned, on eBay or online stores like BBTS.

The Very Cool will need a slim body to fit. The Toys City will work on a Hot Toys TTM Narrow Shoulder or Advanced/Regular (TTM21) however, the Advanced and newer Regular feature bigger upper arms which make the jacket a bit too tight and form-fitting. I think the best option here is probably the Narrow Shoulder variety which is essentially the same body with smaller arms - you can find knock-offs on eBay for $25. The Agent Coulson body seems similar, but you're likely to pay a premium for any Hot Toys character-specific body.

Someone help sum it all up for me and help me create perfect 1/6 Bonds.

You can read back a couple of months in this thread, it's not very much, and help yourself.

You seem to think I am trying to just make everything easy for myself so before you do a semi rant realise that I have absolutely ZERO experience in anything 1/6 or putting stuff together.

I am a general collector who likes a fellow members heads and now needs to stick it on something with not a clue how to master it. Might not be difficult but as a complete novice I need more structured help from fellow members!!!

So getting on track if the DID Agent Jack exists why wouldn't or shouldn't I just go for that? You seem to be keen on sending me down the get everything yourself route but without reasoning.

Also can you maybe link me to the body you think is best on ebay if possible?

One of my biggest concerns about having to buy separates was that nobody seems to do a PPK as good as the DID Agent Jacks.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Its possible to buy the ppk separately. You can get the DID Jack but the tux and sculpt are overall much worse in quality than the Toyscity or Verycool tux with The Bbkill sculpt on top.

Right so if I want a great quality Bond I really need to be looking at putting it together myself then and going on Pixelpipers post using the Toys City version.

So now I need pointing towards a body by link if someone doesn't mind.

On that note though do all the bodies come with hands and feet and do I need a particular hand to ensure the gun fits correctly? Also where can you find the guns for sale solo?

Sorry to have so many questions - I am really excited about putting something together but I just don't have a clue.
