Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Another comp with the ML sculpt. I have not altered the sculpt in any way apart from darken off the hair colour.
The sculpt appears to be good but I would prefer the Skyfall hair to help the overall likeness.

ML's first official pic release of the sculpt showed the detail up best. Their recent photos of the sculpt are not helping it at all with the sharp focus on the eyes, the odd angles and the blurring out of the other features such as the lines and ridges around the mouth - this is what makes Craig look like Craig. I imagine the sculpt in hand will look better than the Facebook pics. I'd be happy if the final product can emulate this comp even if it needs a repaint. Of course, if we ever see the Beastmaster version released we may not need to be having this discussion :)

Very casino royale...I like it.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

You'll need a P99, too. [emoji6]

I got two of them, two of them, two of them. ! Woot! Ok, sorry. :)

I still need a PPK for Connery though. Well, in fact I also have two of them, but they're part of other figure sets.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Like most of us, he has some bond parts. ;) Ok, my Connery is suited up and sitting in a Barcelona chair, but the room isn't complete.

Me too :) the DML ones, with the aiming lights!

The Walther P99's I have are from Loading Toys. Way better than the Sideshow one.

I actually have no idea who makes the ones I have. I bought them on eBay when I first saw them come up and I haven't seen the same set again. I've tried looking a number of times to help other members out but haven't been successful. When I get the chance I'll take some clear photos of them and put them up here and you experts can help identify them.

Maybe they're the same as the ones Platty just mentioned, because they do come with removable aiming light attachments.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

They probably are the same them. They are quite thin too.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I know this isn't 1/6, but I wanted to share my customized 1/1 Walther PPK replica

Before and After

JMK's Walther PPK replica comparison.jpg

It's a Denix PPK. There are still some things that aren't 100% accurate, but I swapped the grips for a pair of authentic grips, which turned out a difficult task. I also removed the flat bottom from the magazine and added the "pinky rest" from an airsoft pistol. And I painted the red dot on the safety.

What do you guys think?

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

It's a good idea that the gun is being shown off here in the forums. I don't suggest taking it around the street or into your bank and asking people there what they think. ;)
