Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Anyone here considering going the full bbkill Connery head WITH the Yunsil "Auric Stud" 3-piece Glen Plaid suit?

Pricey yeah, but what a stand out figure it would be.

Yes sir! I havent been this excited for a figure in a while

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I thought about it, but I just don't have enough faith in myself as a painter to do it the head sculpt the justice it needs to justify the price of the suit.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Yeah, I hear ya. I have the same concerns. Getting the paintwork done at the level to compliment the suit makes the total investment in this one figure a small fortune.

Certainly there are very nicely tailored Tuxedos available to create a very iconic Bond. The Tuxedo is still THE iconic look for James Bond as the movie character. But for Connery, that grey suit from Goldfinger certainly is right up their as the iconic SUIT for the Connery years.

I don't even want to begin to think about the money I've sunk into "the perfect Indiana Jones figure" over the years... and it still eludes me.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I'm sure Yunsil will make the definitive Goldfinger suit, but I'm still pretty happy with my modded Hot Toys SR Clark Kent suit. Although, that figure is rather elusive and expensive in its own right.

As am I.

For its day, that CK suit is excellent. If only it were better tailored. I was looking at it recently and thinking I need to do some tailoring of my own... then this opportunity popped up.

Yeah. Once I get bbkill's sculpt, get it painted, and move him over to a Hot Toys (or like) body, I might have some tailoring done.

One a side note, if posed with a gun, it would be more accurate to use a Walther P38, rather than a PPK.
